Lisa Kudrow is in a selfie here either without make-up or in very light make-up and looking at it, I think it's pretty unlikely that she has had much or tbh, any work done on her face. The really, really fucked up thing is, these people are all tv and film actors. Having an expressive face is a huge part of their work. The very best actors all have the ability to look sad or pensive while smiling, to run through a range of emotions and/or thoughts in a few seconds while the camera is focussed on them. Being able to let an audience know their character is having intense or complicated feelings just by small adjustments to their facial expression is a really important part of their job. And all these facial procedures hinder that ability to really communicate in all the ways they need to.
I know the tv/film industry is insanely shallow but how the hell has it come to a place where women in particular, but also increasingly men, so often feel it's necessary to inhibit their ability to do their bloody job? Why aren't directors and producers actually saying no, do not do that. You are 40, 50, 60, or however old they are. You are better to look your age and be able to move your face. Christ, let them push non-invasive tactics like dermarolling, facial massage and exercises, advice about supplements, diet and sleep, etc. But how can the people who make the shows and movies not very, very strongly tell their actors not to ruin their faces?
The same goes for their weight. First Cox and then Aniston became far, far too thin from the middle of Friends onwards. And with Cox in particular it truly impacted her work. Her whole energy changed, the way she moved her limbs became awkward, she had a weird nervous energy and looked deeply unwell a lot of the time, especially in the series where she and Chandler are hiding their relationship. Her weightloss impacted her ability to do her job as well as she had been doing. I also suspect it was part of the reason she started to alter her face as she was so thin her face became long and drawn. Why weren't the people running the show copped on enough to help foster an environment where their actors were encouraged to maintain the healthy looking weights they had at the beginning? Yet, it's very likely the opposite is what happened with the women put under pressure to weigh less and have facial procedures that ultimately made them worse at their jobs.
