For all of you uk friends fans out there if your not already aware , the friends reunion is on Thursday at 8pm on sky one.
Just a bit of fun...
who’s your favourite character and what’s your favourite epsiode?
Mines chandler...
And I love the episode with all the kissing, when chandler kisses Monica in front of Rachel and phoebe and then has to kiss them too as to not let them know he’s in a relationship with Monica. Cracks me up everytime 🤭😄

Yeah they said they've only managed it once in 17 years which must have been that. This was the second time.

Not sure it matter who lives where when you're that rich! If they wanted to all get together they would have.

@Horehound people have been saying that about Matthew Perry for years but he is actually Canadian so his real accent is different to what we’re used to. Obviously he does have a well documented drug problem but I thought he sounded fine but did look a bit rough. I think the teeth and plastic surgery make him look worse.

Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc looked so much better than the rest without all the surgery, it was lovely to see actual facial expressions!

'Reunion' suggested it was an interview rather than an episode. A lot of people I know have assumed it'd be an episode and I questioned that. Not a surprise.

Can tell Matt Le Blanc has spent time working in TV in the UK, he has a British humour.

Jennifer Anniston seemed far too animated. The other more classy.

I've read that Matthew Perry has said he has no memories of about 3 years of Friends when he was at his worst with addiction. I imagine that must have made all this really weird for him. If he had dental surgery as well the day before that would also explain a lot. He was quite ill a few years ago as well I think so he's definitely been through it.

I thought it was really interesting how David Schwimmer has clearly had a lot of work and Matt Le Blanc is just "let me embrace the ageing process". His look when they were in that little room and Jennifer Aniston said it looked so small but that was weird as none of them had got bigger made me laugh. It was very "speak for yourself Miss Hollywood, I have enjoyed my carbs".

Absolutely loved it but found it so emotional. I love JA, DS and MLB but chandler was always my favourite in the show. Although I loved every character which what made it such a good show. My favourite was Ross getting a spray tan and the when Ross and rachael get together reminds me a bit like me and dh and how we finally got together!

The girls losing the apartment is the best episode, closely followed by the early Valentine's Day- where joey sets up chandler with a blind date- Janice.
It's my comfort telly.

I loved it all so much... but was anyone else thinking / hoping they would end the show with them all dancing in the fountain one last time?! Would of been a lovely ending!

It was so lovely to watch! Was interesting to hear Matt Le Blanc say he can't get into it properly when he watches it, as he's aware it's him acting. In a way I feel sad for the cast that they don't get the illusion that us mortals do.

I thought Matt Perry looked sad too but i wonder if he misses it deeply and as others have said, it also takes him back to a dark point.

Loved the Aniston/Schwimmer revelation!

Also was waiting for Lisa Kudrow to tell Gaga 'too much...' or 'Stephanie.. knows all the chords' Hmm

Friends is my ultimate comfort show. I laughed and cried through out the reunion.

Low point was James Corden.

My favourite character was Chandler or Monica.
I have so many favourite episodes, I can’t choose!

Just finished watching, really enjoyed it and despite being worried about it being naff, I think this is actually the best solution that the cast and fans could have had.

Few thoughts..

If they were such close friends it does strike me as a bit odd that they have only been in a room altogether once since the show ended? Even with work schedules / family you'd think they'd manage a dinner every so often. I also wondered if there was an element of truth when Matthew Perry said 'Speak for yourselves' when asked about them keeping in touch etc..

I wonder if there were other cast members who were approached to appear but turned it down.. I'd love to know who said they didn't want to.. the ones who spring to mind that I'd have like to have seen were David, Frank Jr, Rachels parents. Would have rather had more clips from cast members than Kit Harrington & Co.. but maybe the others didn't want to appear and that's why they added them for filler.

I was surprised the guy who played the janitor didn't show up, but I can't remember if he maybe passed away?

I thought Matt Le Blanc has such a lovely genuine smile. Did end up feeling very sorry for Matthew Perry, but like others have said maybe it brings back bad memories, or it's hard to see the others who are still making shows , and have families. It must be tough, like a school reunion..

Woah, just sitting down to watch it, what’s happened to David schwimmer’s face? A bit of a disingenuous comment, he’s obviously ‘had some work done’ but IMO (which I’m aware he doesn’t nor needn’t give one shiny shit about as it’s his face not mine) he looks like a waxwork! Has he tried to look frozen in time? Because he doesn’t!!

Remember the episode when phoebe dates a psychologist/psychoanalyst, and he dissects them all?
He says re Chandler, "I wouldn't like to be there when the laughter stops."
That's all I could think of when watching him in the reunion - it was/is as true for MP as it was for chandler. Hearing how he was crippled with anxiety that the audience wouldn't laugh at his lines etc.

I also have to say, if JA and DS were "crushing on" each other, to such an extent that they were together constantly between takes, napping together etc, and they knew they fancied each other, I do not believe for one second that it didn't ever go any further than a crush 😒
Especially when they were playing roles where there was constant simmering between the characters.
So, either they totally did, but can't be honest about it, or (as a previous poster said) it's a smokescreen/diversion from different story.

I needed more Gunther but the affection was palpable when Jack and Judy Geller-and Janice-appeared. I also enjoyed the 'Matthew enjoyed Julia Roberts' comment!
It's testament to the quality of the cast and stars the names missing or not mentioned: Bruce Willis, Robin Williams, Paul Rudd...
It was clear the affection everyone involved had for each other and their appreciation for what the show had given them. I thought it was very well done.
