I’ve run out of ideas and like to have a series on the go. I have Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Things I have loved include:

Grey’s Anatomy
This is Us
Gilmore Girls
Parenthood
Desperate Housewives
ER
West Wing
Queen’s Gambit
The Crown
Anne with an E
Handmaid’s Tale
Schitt’s creek

Things I’ve tried but didn’t enjoy:
OINB
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Better call Saul
Frankie and Grace
After Life
Stranger Things
parks and Recreation

Ideas welcomed please. Something brilliant with lots of episodes that has passed me by!

Younger

An editor pretends to be younger than she is to get back into the job market.

It’s on Amazon in the US, loads of seasons and still being made

The Stranger, on Netflix.

It must be about 15 years old but Amazon Prime still had when I last looked the Australian The Secret Life of Us about young people starting out on their careers etc after college. I watched a few episodes and am hoping to get to it. I'm dreadful at actually getting round to watching things. I've just finished watching Series 1 of Mad Men (it took me years and years to start and months to watch the 13 episodes.

Having started this thread ages ago I thought I’d come back and update, and share my new obsession.

On the back of this thread I shared watching Jane the Virgin, and enjoyed it. It’s not going to make it into my ‘top 5 best series ever list’ but still good.

However, a friend in RL suggested Money Heist (Netflix) to me, also recommended by some on here. It’s in Spanish with subtitles (apparently the dubbed version is awful). I can honestly say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever watched. Just coming to the end of series 1, and it’s one of those things I almost don’t want to watch because each episode takes me closer to it all being over!

Try some Korean drama:
Crash Landing on You
My Love from the Star

Both on Netflix.

‘Trying’ on Apple is good. It’s gentle, sincere with some comical touches. Worth watching.

Just binge watched season 1&2 of Homecoming on Prime. A bit weird at first so persevere with the first few episodes but then you get sucked in.

If you don't mind subtitles then it's worth checking out the Walter Presents website - has loads of dramas from abroad on there to stream.

@Mrsfenchurch

Oh and ‘The Bold Type’ on Netflix
I agree. Its brilliant

Try Leverage. I've really enjoyed it. It older but so good!

Not read full thread so someone may have already mentioned this, but if you fancy something light-hearted can I recommend The Kominski Method with Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin?
It's very dry, smart and witty, and had DH and me in absolute fits. We watched series one over a couple of evenings. Wish the football would just sod off so we could start on series 2.
