Looks like Roger isn't having it all his own way here. I haven't been keeping an eye on it- so I don't know how he is dealing with the absence of the crowd.

At the beginning, they said that the lack of a crowd would favour the under dog more, since the croed would more than likely be very pro- Fed.

Koepfer does a lot of muttering.

I have been score watching, because I haven't felt like watching really- Koepfer is holding his own. The first set was very close.

Second set Koepfer- Fed won't be happy now.

I've given up - these night matches are crap - they could have played hours ago - why keep me from my bed?
But, allez, Rog - Koepfer is the spit image of my annoying neighbour's teenage son, who revs his car & shouts to his mates at 1am.

I actually feel asleep in the middle of that. I have horrible stomach cramps and I don't know where my Buscopan has disappeared to.

Koepfer was disgusting, spitting all over the court, throughout the match.
He should have been warned.

The night matches are ridiculous. Why did FFT press ahead with them when Paris is under a 9pm curfew? Money must be the answer, TV rights already sold?

I think Roger is carrying an injury, possibly his back, he wasn’t bending his knees on serve as much as usual. He’s never retired from a match but there were times last night when I thought he should.

I fell asleep and woke up just in time to see the score.
I'm not sure if money is the reason the night matches are going ahead- I am sure they would have had to issue refunds once the curfew was announced- it seems to be that they've decided to go ahead with them and that's that. it's like an experiment. Farcical though they are.

Money will certainly be the reason for them, going forward- spread the matches out longer- because there was no reason that match could not have started much earlier, with the spectators that were already there. They might have had to leave for the last hour- but they would have seen most of the match.

The night match tonight is Zverev/Nishikori tonight- - that could go on for hours knowing Kei

Sad to see Azarenka go out- she seemed to just go awol a bit. I liked her dress too- purple dress version of Berrettini's top.
I thought Azarenka had a chance this year (although I'm still backing Swiatek).

Oh- it's the miserable umpire in the Tsitsipas match .

She's Greek as well I think.

Just put it on now. DH was watching F1 but has gone off to do some strimming. I've been catching up on my neglected housework.

This running around because of the clock is ridiculous.

Jane I hate the clock. The lack of common sense becauase of the clock drives me nuts.
