What would all the characters post on here?
I'm a tad obsessed with this programme and I'd love to hear your theories on what they would post on here for a bit of fun

I’ve noticed all of the characters at nursery drop off and it always amuses me, particularly the Amanda of the group (light hearted of course but definite similarities)!

I’m also a Liz/Julia crossover - friends compare me to Liz a lot

Definitely agree that they’d all be on here but very much in their own boards. Meg would definitely giving out advice over on the employment board!

I love Motherland.

I imagine Anne would post a lot. Julia would be too busy, and Amanda would think she's too above it, unless making a stealth brag post.

Anne would be posting stupid AIBUs such as “AIBU to go to the zoo without a spare packed lunch in case one of the children loses theirs?” She would then drip feed MASSIVELY

It’s very well observed. All of it. Sports day is hilarious.

Julia will post on relationships about her DH hobby taking up too much time and everyone will think "cycling" and nod sagely to themselves.

I’m pretty sure @glinner got lots of his ideas for motherland from mumsnet! He’s often on here

I love this programme. Kevin (or rather the actor who plays him) lives near me and has a child the same age as mine. Often see him on the preschool circuit.

It's hilarious and so true to life. It's a Sharon Hogan series and her stuff is always great

We have a few #shitshops on my local high street. I always say it in my head when I pass them and laugh to myself.

This just makes me feel bad as another Liz/Julia hybrid! I think it's too well observed sometimes.

I was just thinking how Anne would be one of the posters that pop up on sahm vs whom threads who were mega successful but gave it all up to be at home with the kids - I also think Anne would be the very cautious type when Julia would be posting 'Aibu to leave my primary school aged kids alone 9-5 at half term while I'm at work an hour away if my elderly neighbour is on hand for emergencies ?' - Anne would be accusing her of borderline neglect !!

I can also imagine Mrs lamb types being slagged off on here and posters suggesting she is immediately reported to ofsted 😄

Amanda would never start a thread on AIBU, because she is never unreasonable. But she would certainly have robust opinions to share.

Imagine the passive-aggression and faux concern, though.

I think Julia would have her arse handed to her on AIBU but would refuse to accept it.

Kevin would have been told to LTB years ago, but would still defend Jill.

I think he'd also be told to get a backbone and stop saying 'making love'

I totally know an Amanda. I'm a lone parent and commented I wanted to try a newish local fairly expensive restaurant. She looked at me and said:

'Well the most economical time is breakfast. Although they do give unlimited toast which is better if you've a man with you'.

The irony being I make 90k a year and she's a SAHM. She ignores all the 'lower status' parents and runs all the school events,

Anne would post on aibu with things like 'Is my friend taking advantage of me?' Then she would defend her friend to everyone who came on to say yes she is. It would end with Anne asking MN to delete the whole thread as people become increasingly abusive about what a wet lettuce Anne is and why doesn't she grow a pair.

Amanda would be one of those smug posters who says things like "I just love every minute of being a parent" and telling an OP that she shouldn't be in her tracksuit 12 hours postpartum

Liz would be posting about OLD

Meg would just post witty replies to existing threads

Julia would be posting that she's on the verge of a nervous breakdown and would be told "you have a husband problem OP"

Anything that Kevin posted he would get his arse handed to him because he's a man. Everyone would tell him they feel sorry for Jill

Anne would be posting "is my friend taking the piss" thread every week

Amanda's mum would be on the style and beauty board.
Anne on the baby name board!!
Liz on the sex board
Amanda on the relationship board
Julia on the aibu ? Board
Kevin on the school boards/ relationships
Meg would be everywhere with kick ass advice esp general health / mental health
Miriam on the general health boards
The men would not be on any boards at all!

I live in an area like Motherland, in fact it's filmed locally... It makes me terrified for the school run, i have a toddler at the moment. I find Julia infuriating but she's so cleverly done!
