Ted has been the police so long that they won't necessarily have his DNA on file from him joining. He was arrested and interviewed last series so his DNA may be on the nominal database from then.

Fandom says they are divorced.

His role in Laverty Holdings isn't clear - was he bent? What happened to him after the divorce? Did Jackie meet the OCG through him? Or did she know them anyhow?

Her birth surname is O'Connor, but I dint think that ties her in to anyone else (yet....)

I don’t think we have any of that information - all we know is she left Gates for him, and that he was a millionaire. I don’t know if it’s ever confirmed that she set up the property business after the divorce or if they ran it together previously.

Just thinking that it would be a good one because you can’t accuse them of bringing in a brand new character but it’s unlikely to be someone you think of (I only did because I’m rewatching S1 and his name came up).

Maybe in the divorce they split the business which was already laundering cash for the OCG. Maybe he moved to Liverpool and now owns lots of properties including a hairdressers....

Just floating in (geddit?) to point you in the direction on the most brilliant podcast Shrine of Duty. They've unpicked the TLAs on Buckells' contacts (BJL et al), and their excellent conclusion that Jed is having a laugh with us about the sheer volume of acronyms in the LOD world. At over 1hr long each episode is longer that the TV episodes, but they unpick every moment in forensic detail. Highly recommended.
