Our Girl Thread 59 "Our Girl and Soldier Soldier Revisited"

We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier. We are now on series 7.

We learn that Jessica has been having counselling. I think they all probably need that. Jeremy assures her that none of it was her fault and if anything, Pantomime Evil Colonel is to blame.

eejit hadn't Rossi come from a different regiment? Maybe he'd been deployed elsewhere to have earned the medals.

Julie and Jacko have a heart to heart about the abortion. She has to confess that she wasn't sure Jacko was the father. He loses his rag, gives her the house keys back and storms out.

There's a room inspection and Sgt Fitzpatrick discovers one of the smuggled rifles. Rossi, you're in big trouble. Not only about the rifles but now Fitzpatrick has seen the dog on your bed!

Off you pop to Colchester Rossi. At least you're not being kept in prison there, just handing the rifles in to be spiked - dismembered I suppose.

Julie comes to see Jeremy to explain there's likely to be trouble between Jacko and Rossi.

I like that Jeremy goes in to see Jacko for a private chat. Jeremy has really matured over the years. He's a really understanding boss.
