What to watch, I'm ridiculously fussy!

OK, help me find something to watch please! I don't watch much TV at all, but when I'm stressed (all the time currently!) if I can get I to a good series it really helps me! The trouble is I don't have much patience and find it hard to find things that I can get hooked into! Most things I try I watch one episode then give up.
I like crime dramas/psychological thrillers/slightly creepy stuff
I do not like romantic stuff/comedy/family sagas/documentaries

So for example I have enjoyed:
Marcella
Line of duty
Traces
Hidden
The missing
Unforgotten
Dark
Haunting of blye manor/Hill house
Locke and key
Devs

Also liked The Queens Gambit, although not my usual choice.

Looking for a series, not films.
Ideally not too many episodes (3 seasons absolute max!)

I can't do subtitles, but dubbed is possible.

I have amazon prime, Netflix, I player

Help me find something to grip me, I need distraction!

The Sinner, season 1

Bluewavescrashing · 16/02/2021 16:25

The Bay
Line of duty (new series out now)

LaMainDeFatima · 16/02/2021 16:25

Luther

AiryFairy1 · 16/02/2021 16:46

Black Narcissis on iplayer. A bit creepy but only 3 eps .
Lupin on Netflix is dubbed, but (I think) it’s done really well!
The Blacklist (maybe only on sky) and Homeland (Netflix) are brilliant, but many many seasons.
The Fall (Netflix I think), not too many seasons afaik.

bababra · 16/02/2021 16:50

3% on Netflix or To the lake, both dubbed

fresiaboquet · 16/02/2021 17:44

thanks all.
I've seen the sinner, and the bay (all series), the fall - all great.
Couldn't get into Luther.
Thought I'd seen all the series of line of duty - but didnt know there was a new one - that is fab!

will check out the others.

Godless
Fargo

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/02/2021 18:54

I have to keep saying about Godless than honestly it looks like something you won't enjoy but it's a total hidden gem and is a limited series so just the one series and not dragged out.

User7458 · 17/02/2021 19:50

Glitch on Netflix was good, it's been on there a while now but I have only recently watched it. It's Australian version of The Returned

Anoisagusaris · 17/02/2021 19:56

New Line of Duty series isn’t out yet, or is it??

Undercover on Netflix is very good
Top of the Lake

Dockland · 17/02/2021 21:14

New series of LoD is out in the spring I'm sure. I wish it was out now though!!! Love that show.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 18/02/2021 08:41

Ozark. Might be too many series for you (as you say you are quite fussy) but it is dark and gripping!

purrswhileheeats · 18/02/2021 20:39

Quicksand on Netflix is brilliant - a drama set in Stockholm about a high school massacre.

Mindhunter
The Sinner
Hinterland
The Fall
The Americans
The Looming Tower
Narcos
Zero Zero Zero
These are just a few I can think of off the top of my head!

haliborange0verdose · 22/02/2021 14:36

Also, the new series of Unforgotten starts tonight! Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 23/02/2021 13:19

I liked most of your list but also recently watched mindhunter, Jessica Jones esp s1, and American horror show (lots of seasons but first 2 are probably the best and they all stand alone anyway). These were all shows I didn't expect to like but loved.

Avondklok · 23/02/2021 13:39

Loved The Stranger on Netflix. Bonus that it has Richard Armitage in and I luffs him.

User27aw · 23/02/2021 19:52

I really enjoyed Lupin on Netflix.
Its dubbed but you dont really notice it.

WingingWonder · 23/02/2021 20:16

The killing
The tunnel
The missing

Literallynoidea · 24/02/2021 23:00

The Investigation is great - a BBC iPlayer (I think) drama about a real life murder Ona submarine.

It has subtitles but is very good

SenecaFallsRedux · 24/02/2021 23:08

The Undoing with Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman. I'm in the US so I don't know its availability in the UK, but it definitely has the psychological thriller/slightly creepy vibe.

cardoon · 25/02/2021 15:47

where do we watch season 6 of Line of Duty?
