It’s back!!! Now with extra added Alan Carr!!!

Starts tonight. I didn’t find the first series until well after it finished and binge watched it, enjoyed following the thread on here as I did so but I was way behind the time to contribute anything.

Looking forward to enjoying this series hopefully with some viper chatter as we go along. Come on in, all opinions welcome!

"I'm not expecting you to love that" what a weird thing to say to the clients.

Halsall · 23/02/2021 20:08

Hang on, so quiff-boy, just before presenting his design, asked what they actually sold in the kitchen shop?

Didn't he know by that stage? Or is that some seriously poor editing? Hmm

Mooserp · 23/02/2021 20:11

Isn't siobhan wearing wigs?

Halsall · 23/02/2021 20:12

Did they not just mis-spell 'Royal Tunbridge Wells' on the caption as 'Tonbridge'? Which is......a different place?

TheSpottedZebra · 23/02/2021 20:17

Oh it's a wig? That's why the colour is so fresh!

Agree, Halsall that seemed odd. But maybe at that stage they'd not been told much as the 'pitches' were so generic.

This was so awkward.. especially when she said she liked it and he seemed thrown by it! I found that pitch so cringey. I don't think he wanted to work with any of them..

I've been assuming it's wigs.
cerealgamechanger · 23/02/2021 20:19

Grand Canyon?! In a kitchenware shop?

cerealgamechanger · 23/02/2021 20:21

Isn't siobhan wearing wigs?

Can't be. Her roots are showing!

Maireas · 23/02/2021 20:21

Not sure about upside down crockery, Paul.

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/02/2021 20:22

Can't be. Her roots are showing!

Maybe that's her natural hair Grin

Maireas · 23/02/2021 20:22

200 spoons on the ceiling. Ok.

jay55 · 23/02/2021 20:22

I love the animal wall paper.

Not loving any of the design ideas so far. The cook shop sounds like it'll be dust central.

TheSpottedZebra · 23/02/2021 20:23

So in a shop that has more stock than it can display, shes doing... wavy shelves. Maybe there's a reason why shelves are so often straight.

Cookshop Woman is going to HATE IT and say that they have not understood her business.

Halsall · 23/02/2021 20:24

If they do cookery demos in that shop, the 200 spoons will be filmed in grease in no time. Just thinking about my own cooker hood....

And I presume the owners were worried about keeping line of sight over stock in case of shoplifting etc?

Mooserp · 23/02/2021 20:25

The hair in the pitch was a wig wasn't it? 🤷‍♀️

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/02/2021 20:25

I'm not sure about the wallpaper in the pet shop, I think it could date quite easily in a shop, I think there's a reason why most shops have plain walls.

I quite like the wavy pelmets and bone table though.

Mooserp · 23/02/2021 20:26

They are lovely buildings

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/02/2021 20:27

Does quiff guy work in retail?

I think the cook shop owners were right to question the counter placement, as it's important to be able to see bays etc in small shops and I always think counters are good to be near the door so you can greet customers too.

It looked like they'd placed the counter in a back corner?

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/02/2021 20:28

I always dreamt of being a visual merchandiser but sadly probably a job that's dwindled in recent years.

TheSpottedZebra · 23/02/2021 20:29

WIGS! Grin

jay55 · 23/02/2021 20:29

The spoon thing looks a bit Blue Peter.

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/02/2021 20:30

Can anyone tell me what the budget is this week? I think I've missed it.

Maireas · 23/02/2021 20:31

@Mooserp

They are lovely buildings
Aren't they? What a lovely shopping street.
covetingthepreciousthings · 23/02/2021 20:32

I think if it were me doing the pet shop, I'd have done plain walls and then hung painted ornate framed pet portraits like the ones on the wallpaper.. I think all that wallpaper is too much!
