We have been following Our Girl since 2014 and although there are to be no further series, we revisit time and time again to discuss. As an alternative, we are also watching the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Yuck, a mouthful of toothpaste - that stuff burns your throat.

eejittwo · 08/12/2020 21:40

BTW - I’m behind thanks to ad breaks.

Rhubarb01 · 08/12/2020 21:40

Looks lie Mrs Colonel has talked round her hubby. Hobbs has cheered up now.

Ilovelblue · 08/12/2020 21:44

Angela has talked to the Major and he tells her that Ewan did not kill the Bosnian sniper.

Major Forrester has set the record straight about what happened in Bosnia and Says that Ewan didn't kill the girl. Chris doesn't owe Ewan anything anymore. I'd give that money to his wife if I were you. I reckon he will drink it.

Rhubarb01 · 08/12/2020 21:46

Why do I think that he might burn the place down while she is out?

Rhubarb01 · 08/12/2020 21:47

Maybe it's something to do with those Green Goddesses at the start?

Rhubarb01 · 08/12/2020 21:49

Yep, something like that - there have been several miserable stories this series with the lady who blew herself up in the car and now this.

Ilovelblue · 08/12/2020 21:49

The cafe is no more. Here come the police and the Green Goddesses. Chris realises where they are going and how it has happened.

Oh dearie dear - what has he done?

eejittwo · 08/12/2020 21:50

The £500 went up with the cafe I presume.

Rhubarb01 · 08/12/2020 21:51

Hmm, well that was a bit grim and the sad music is playing it out.

Ilovelblue · 08/12/2020 21:51

Yes, there have been a few sad stories. In previous series, they've nearly all ended on a happy note.

Rhu, we've not discussed Strictly this series. Have you been watching it? Who do you think will win?

OP posts:
eejittwo · 08/12/2020 21:53

Indeed - there was always something upbeat to finish on.

Rhubarb01 · 08/12/2020 22:00

Yes, I've been watching Strictly and voting each week. I think it's been quite good despite the Covid restrictions.

Based on the polling that has been done on The Strictly Spoiler each week (the site asks you to say who you voted for, and he works it out from that and shows the poll results) I would say that Bill is in with a chance and also HRVY. I think Maisie is very good but not as well supported. Ranvir is doing really well, I think people like her and I enjoy watching, but I don't think she'll win. She's the real beginner who has shown natural talent. Same with Jamie. He has good and not so good dances. I'm a bit fed up of seeing him and Karen looking like a double act all the time - how many times have they worn matching suits? I don't think he'll win. I think HRVY is better than Bill but Bill has surprised lots of people and Oti is really popular, so you never know!

Ilovelblue · 08/12/2020 22:47

My neighbour and I have three bets still current - Ranvir (she's originally from Preston and used to be on our local BBC news each evening), HRVY and Maisie. I don't really like Bill but as you say, he is very popular. Maisie is not popular really. We get the most money out of Ranvir winning but personally, I would like to see HRVY win.

I reckon Jamie will be the next one to be voted out.

I really liked Anton as a temporary judge and wish he would become a permanent fixture.

Ilovelblue · 15/12/2020 21:01

Is everyone present and correct?

Discovered something interesting yesterday - the actress who plays Debs was DI Barnaby's daughter in Midsomer Murders - I didn't see it at first but now I can. Not a big fan of MM but have seen it sometimes.

Meanwhile, Debs is having a bad day at work in the cafe.

Ilovelblue · 15/12/2020 21:03

Steve is back from Colchester.

Debs has found herself a job in a local cafe. She doesn't seem to be the type to become a waitress.
