What do you reckon?

I like living in a multicultural, busy, vibrant city myself. But Hackney will probably be last again because it's got too many immigrants or something...

OP posts:

and a red jacket and you knew someone or you LO knew someone(a little girl..josie?) who was there???

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 15:44

dammm, got it in one!!! YOu can rely on me to be late although, in my defence, I was there 10mins early but stormed the kids all the way through the park to the wrong centre and then had to drag two whingy kids all the way back again yes, Josie's Mammy is my manager! she's on mat leave, baby in pram behind her is her latest addition (God I hope she doesn't MN) so.....who were you???!!!

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 15:52

OK, I'm put off because I misread your post yesterday as you were going with your kids and kids that you childmind (in the plural) and your friend, so you were one lady, three kids....?all girls?? I not, was I sat next to you????no, I don't think so, hmm, wasn't looking close enough apparantly!!!!

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 16:09

one (lady wouldnt use that phrase??[smile)woman, 2 girls today, not sat on your table but might have moved out of your way once or twice to let you get to the back tables

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 16:12

thing is i cant remember your face now as one of my mindees mums has same jacket and same hair and i keep seeing her face instead..your Lo was sooo funny shouting Josie but she couldnt hear , but never gave up..gold medal for trying

nailpolish · 24/10/2007 16:14

i live in edinburgh and i DO think it is the best place in the uk to be

wasnt brought up here, moved here, moved away, missed it like hell so moved back (thank god)

id probably rather live here than anywhere on earth tbh

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 16:30

were you sat right on the corner, with dark hair up in a clip? I can't remember one of the kids shouting Josie, was it ds???(he's the loudmouth) or dd (who know's her best)? My jacket wasn't red, my top was though as I had gotten hot walking over to the pavillion, I'd taken my coat off just before we got there.

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 16:31

nailpolish, I've only been on the main drag in Edinburgh (royal mile??) but have been told by natives that that is not the real Edinburgh.

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 16:36

yep, i was also stressed out as having probs with mindee over last few days and just WONT join in with these things so had to be 'persuaded'
it was your ds that was shouting josie i think?

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 16:38

hehehe! Right third time!!! Are you going tomorrow? I think we will, am trying to persuade dh to take them to make slime on Fri (I will be in bed!)

ScaryScienceT · 24/10/2007 16:41

I grew up in Edinburgh, and it is a good place. It's improved a lot too over the last 20 years. Like any place of its size, it has plenty of iffy suburbs.

One thing that would keep me from living there is the weather. I've been softened by the Surrey climate

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 16:43

yeah we are going tomorrow, i have another mindee as well tomorrow, hes 23 months..how old was your ds again?
and dd is umming and ahhing about wether she wants to make slime or not!, trying to get her to do it as think shed like it but shes very girly girl and doesnt like mess..oh and i prob wont recognise you so get your ds to shout Josie again..im Joe in RL BTW

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 16:47

my ds is 4, as of last week (he's a big boy now!) glad you told me your real name, I wouldn't be brave enough to say hello to a perfect stranger knowing nothing more about them than the fact the like to be known as MissInvisible!!!! but may feel a bit braver about saying 'are you Joe?' will be earlier tomorrow as I now know where I'm going. see you there then!!!!

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 16:48

will have buggy with me and 3 dc as today, and the two littlest are prob noisier than most other kids esp ds!!! little dd likes to be centre of attention but is sleepy at that time of day!!!

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 18:45

so what shall i call you then? cos you dont look anything like a dohnut!

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 19:13

Oh, we're a family of donuts hence the name: 3 D's dolly, donny and diddy donut said to the kids when they do something daft 'oh you dolly donut' etc, I am the original dolly donut, but I have passed the title to my dd!!! I shall reveal my real name when we meet tomorrow (very cloak and dagger!!!!)

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 19:40

i know it!..its rumplestiltskin!

3Ddonut · 24/10/2007 19:40

I want to get it, but I don't [thick emotion]

MissInvisible · 24/10/2007 20:20

you wont tell me your name yet..(rumplestiltskin wouldnt tell anyone his name, they had to guess) Doh, not funny when i have to explain!, or maybe not funny anyway!, ill go back to sleep now

MissInvisible · 25/10/2007 14:36

oh my god was my joke that bad it made you not want to come today??

MrsMills · 25/10/2007 14:50

I was married at Rushpool Hall too!!!

3Ddonut · 25/10/2007 18:26

no, hahhaha, I was in the queue outside and got turned away but we got free family skating instead dh is going tomorrow (I hope) cause I'm on nights tonight and will be in bed, maybe we'll meet up at the Christmas crafts!

3Ddonut · 25/10/2007 18:30

missinvisible, did you think that I was avoiding you as to not 'out' myself???!!!

MissInvisible · 26/10/2007 13:42

hmm, well were you, were you??????...you msised fun today, was slime day!!!!!!, took minde 18 months too and she made some!!

3Ddonut · 26/10/2007 17:16

I really wanted dc to go but dh says that it's just too hard to get ready at that time of the morning (him not the kids!) I was in bed off night, only just though, I thought about coming but I would have only had three hours kip before going out again tonight so decided best not to!!!!
