I also like Glow Up, Big Flower Fight and Zumbos Just Desserts

IntermittentParps · 13/11/2020 18:12

Glow Up is quite good but I don't fancy Big Flower Fight.

I like the arty one, don't think it's one of those mentioned here, with a judge/artist called Lachlan someone.

bruffin · 13/11/2020 18:55

I looked it up IntermittentParps and is it Celebrity Painting Challenge.
I havent seen that before may see if i can watch it.
There was a really good glass blowing challenge called Blown Away which was quite good

I think that is a celebrity version of the Portrait Artist of the Year?

I love the landscape one too. But they all seem to be only on Sky Arts. We don't have Sky, but during lockdown our freeview box added chanels, including Sky Arts, and I love them.

I like Glow Up, but Oh My Goodness those kids need a reality check, most of them are so self important.

Love the sound of glass blowing!

Can you see I am just into all the craft competition ones, mainly because I love watching how this stuff is made and created

steppemum · 13/11/2020 19:09

Last Christmas I even lowered my standards to watch keith Lemon's creative challenge one. And I detest anything he does normally bit it was quite sweet. Some of the things made were extremely try hard and awful. Some were lovely.

I loved that show, I don't like Keith Lemon much either, but he suited the programme Winder if the celebs actually kept those pieces
steppemum · 13/11/2020 19:27

some of them were awful. As a celebrity, I wouldn't have even wanted to take them home!

One or two nice ones though.

Nackajory · 13/11/2020 19:31

I love GPT. Will someone's please update the thread when details of when it's on are released? I don't watch much telly so I might miss it.

Poshjock · 13/11/2020 19:36

Oh The Big Painting Challenge, I forgot about that. I love that too. I could listen to Lachlan's dulcet tones all night. I preferred the normal amateur one though, I love to watch people's journey through their love of craft.

Oh yes the Painting Challenge is different fomr the portrair/landscape artist of the year, I had forgotten about that one.

Love them, bring them on!

ruby2019missyou · 14/11/2020 13:39

I just love this show. I look forward to it every year. I wish I could do pottery.

IntermittentParps · 14/11/2020 15:07

bruffin, I meant the Big Painting Challenge as someone has kindly identified. I would like to watch the sleb one as well though.

Blown Away was good, although rather sensational in its pacing and editing. Seemed to be more about seeing the finished results and the eliminations than spending enough time to really get a sense of the personalities and dynamics.

bruffin · 15/11/2020 22:56

Another lovely programme but not a competition is The Repair Shop. They restore all kinds of old things its fascinating .

Oh yes LOVE the repair shop.

I also like Find it, Fix it, Flog it (I may not have that right)

But that is because 50% are amazing and 50% are awful.

And the one where they get stuff from the recycling centre. Can't think if the name, it also has Jay from the repair shop in.

Hurray. Siobhán ‘Sr Michael’ McSweeney will tell Weeping Keith to cop himself on and stop crying over jugs.

Or at least I hope she will.

ruby2019missyou · 28/12/2020 15:48

@Poshjock Thanks. Can't wait!

Did they do a Bake Off and all bubble together, does anyone know?

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 08/01/2021 17:19

Which ‘Derry girl’? Not the one who insults women on twitter I hope...🤨

ketosavedmylife · 08/01/2021 17:32
