Just seen this today. No air date yet but soon on C4.

Someone tell me I'm not the only one excited for this!

That is FANTASTIC news about Siobhan hosting. Delighted.

She will be so brilliant at this and I will be able to cope better with that fool who keeps crying at the slightest thing. I have no problem with people showing emotion, but it feels like the equivalent of the Paul Hollywood handshake and happens Far Too Often to be genuine.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 05/11/2020 23:36

I’m with you fuzzy
Love all three. Smile

And weepy Keef.

Gaoth · 06/11/2020 05:48

This is brilliant news! I adore Throwdown, and have a giant crush on Siobhán McSweeney, who is equally brilliant on stage.

Crakeandoryx · 06/11/2020 06:04

Love it

Shmithecat2 · 06/11/2020 12:59

Yay!!!!! I love Keith, it's always disappointing if he doesn't cry 😂.

I wish it were still Sara Cox presenting, I thought she was great.

Disfordarkchocolate · 06/11/2020 13:02

I can't wait. How emotional is Keith going to be when he has bubbled with everyone? It will be amazing.

Fluffymule · 06/11/2020 13:03

This is good news! I'm excited to see Siobhan hosting too, I love her as Sister Michael.

Katinski · 06/11/2020 15:44

Oh, so it's Keef? Well, who the eff is Bryn? Grin

Shmithecat2 · 06/11/2020 17:25

@Katinski his name is Keith Brymer Jones. Maybe that's where the Bryn/Brym bit came from?

Aosdana · 07/11/2020 08:50

How will Siobhán McS deal with weepy Keith’s weeps? Sr Michael would roll her eyes and say ‘Cop on to yourself, for God’s sake, it’s a teapot.’

I think I also read that there’s a new judge instead of Sue Pryke, and it sounds as if it’s Rich the kiln man, as they said it was someone who’d already worked on the show in a technical capacity.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 07/11/2020 08:52

Wish it was Sara Cox still. She was fab.

Richie the kiln man has been building his part so I’m so pleased he’s a judge. He’s ace.

bruffin · 07/11/2020 08:57

I love GPT.
I was really looking forward to The Chop , the first episode was great, but it was cancelled because of someones tattoos!

covetingthepreciousthings · 07/11/2020 11:37

Ohh I love this, so pleased it's back. Just what we all need for autumn!

Thismustbelove · 07/11/2020 11:47

When is it on? Does anyway know yet?

Holeinthehouse · 07/11/2020 14:12

Thanks for the heads up!

I hope it’s back to three challenges instead of two! I’d watch a longer show to accommodate ad breaks!

covetingthepreciousthings · 07/11/2020 17:12

Just says coming soon...
the other judge has left, Sue ? I always liked her fashion sense. The pottery technician has taken her job. Rich Millar.

Poshjock · 07/11/2020 21:22

It was on January last year? So I imagine it will be around then. I hope so. Something to warm the cold dark evenings.

therarebear · 07/11/2020 22:33

Such brilliant news, I love this show.

Katinski · 12/11/2020 20:29

Thanks for pointing out my Bryn mistake, good to know that my extended lockdown period hasn't completely addled my remaining brain cellsGrin
I know that it's a repeat, but so worth a second showing. Love it!

lorienwake · 13/11/2020 09:21

yay didn't know this was back!

IntermittentParps · 13/11/2020 13:13

YAY! I love it.
I do miss Sara Cox though. And I liked Kate Malone, so that's a pity. But I've always liked Technician Rich and am excited about what sort of a judge he'll make. Derry Girls has totally passed me by so I've not a scooby who Siobhan McSweeney is though.

All I need is Allotment Challenge to make a come back... I know, I loved that!
Also, not quite the same, but Big Dreams Small Spaces with Monty Don, and the Interior Design Challenge with Tom Dykhoff.

steppemum · 13/11/2020 13:30

Oh I'm another one who loves this.
My list is (in no particular order)

Sewing Bee
Bake Off
Portrait Artist of the Year
Pottery Throw Down.

Not so keen on the allotment challenge, but I'll watch Grin

steppemum · 13/11/2020 13:34

Oh and the design one, where they compete for rooms etc. There ahve been 2 different ones of those.
Love them, but the contestants aren't as nice as on the others (more pretentious)

Nanniss · 13/11/2020 13:39

Oh I adore GPT although there is a lot of eye rolling in our house when Keef blubs.

rosegoldwatcher · 13/11/2020 18:00

@steppemum - love that list. Also Landscape Artist of the Year.

Currently catching up on GPT Series 1 (BBC2) which I somehow missed the first time around.
(Caught DH watching today's episode without me. GRRR!)
