I wasn't really sure if that was for real or not. It's a bit random. I was just thinking how sweet he had become, and then they throw this really odd twist in. The actor who played the DI must have been a naughty boy or something - they spent ages building his character up as a villian. Just such an odd turn of events.

willsantausesantatize · 15/12/2020 21:36

Who else thinks Rainie will become pregnant ( against all the very big odds) and then he'll be put away for killing the cop? .. just musings!

Facelikearustytractor · 15/12/2020 21:37

Perhaps Kush will go to jail for Stuart for 20p and a portion of chips.

They’ll never feed all those kids with 1 portion of chips, he’ll want at least 2 portions & a saveloy
excelledyourself · 15/12/2020 21:59

Disappointed in Stuart! Just wanted him to stay devoted to Rainie, and decent. Is it too much to ask?!

Facelikearustytractor · 15/12/2020 22:12

What was more baffling was that a dead body of a copper on your premises after your husband has killed him doesn't make Rainie panic, but strip off instead. I'm convinced it isn't true. Its just bizarre.

meow1989 · 15/12/2020 22:19

I'm really not sure that a double murderer and a lapsed drug addict should be thinking of having a baby right now, I feel like it might just be the wrong time and circumstances...

The Stuart bit was a bit of an escalation wasn't it?! It was all a bit panto I thought.

Iwantacookie · 15/12/2020 22:20

@face yes that puzzled me too although I did wonder if they were going to become serial killers together.

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 15/12/2020 22:22

I actually found it a bit distasteful that Stu and Raine were so turned on about killing someone, it was a bit too Fred and Rose for my liking.

AaronCardigan · 15/12/2020 22:49

I actually thought that Stuart was just being Stuart. No other character would get away with it. I bet Callum gets the blame for his dodgy boss disappearing.

Thismustbelove · 16/12/2020 00:52

So Ben clobbered Ian. Who left the bullet in the envelope? Presumably Ben would have access to bullets, not many others can surely?
I thought Suki wanted to get rid of the Slaters. Why blackmail Ben then? And Phil would 'sort Suki out' surely. He isn't a fan of Ian's and wouldn't want Ben being blackmailed.
I agree the Stuart thing was a bit Panto. I guessed when Rainey mentioned further tests would involve needles that she had taken drugs. I didn't expect Stuart to have murdered someone though.
EE has changed a lot. Its so disjointed. The Mick story, like all his other stories, ran its course a long time ago. Nobody cares about it anymore.
Who is left to employ Kim? Denise can't, Suki has Honey working in the shop, Linda and Karen work in the launderette, The Vic seems to run itself these days, Kathy may employ her in the cafe?,

Chienloup · 16/12/2020 01:10

Annoyingly, my DH guessed last week that Stuart had killed Callum's boss. Stuart said something about a problem at work last week, something to do with too many bodies!

Maybe Stuart could ask for a twofer at the crematorium to solve the body problem.

Totally agree. Absolutely grim.

I have no idea whats going on anymore.
Are they doing a lucky dip and just plucking pages out of the script?
Is so disjointed with a million storylines at once, that then just fade away.

SoupDragon · 16/12/2020 08:06

Has he thought of applying to be an EE detective? They've not even noticed.

Optimistlestoe1 · 16/12/2020 08:43

Murders, blackmail, GBH, fraud - so many instances of dark goings on in such a short space of time. Does anyone else yearn for the days when the state of the bins was a storyline? Xmas Smile

To be fair, they are fairly lax at Walford cop shop around when, where and how their officers do their shifts, so it could be possible for them not to miss him. Jack only seems to work if he can do so from his own front doorstep. Callum is forever popping into work or saying he's going in and then not bothering.

The bins was a big story line back in the day! .. now it's all murder and mayhem and silly nonsense stories that don't add up.
JemimaTab · 16/12/2020 10:51

The Ian thing is just ridiculous. Didn’t they say he had surgery, and it’s 50:50, and then suddenly he’s back home and walking about all chirpy like nothing’s happened. WTF. Couldn’t they even try to make it realistic? Surely he’d at least have a bit of a headache, and be groggy from the meds etc.
I am loving Stuart and Rainie though. They make such a great (weird and warped) couple.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 16/12/2020 10:55

Ian certainly made a,very quick recovery.

willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 11:18

I'm not getting the Stuart is a cold hearted killer so we all must love him.
I have always fancied him looks wise , but he is clearly deranged deep down and dangerous. Not a good quality really. Lol
I fear he could turn on Rainie who is equally messed up. I thought he had changed his ways a bit , but he hasn't! He has lots of issues.
He also doesn't care his actually murdered people.. he justifies it to himself.
I was a fan for a while too!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/12/2020 16:38

Bloody hell. Stuart bumped the copper

I was half listening and thought he said body was in the fridge downstairs

And had to rewind

Ian a speedy recovery

And wow. So was it ben .

I assume kudu was confess to crimes they tried to pink on Mitchell’s

I wonder if Stuart just carries body bags around with him just in case then? Then you know oops I murdered someone, pops them in bag, slings them over his shoulder and heads back to Coker's with a nod of the head and a cheeky "don't mind me, nothing to see here" to anyone he passes on the way! Grin

SoupDragon · 16/12/2020 18:45

I don't think it was Ben. I think he went in and saw Ian on the floor and left him there but I don't think he hit him. By making him prime suspect now, I think he is ruled out of being the actual culprit.

Smile Yep, just a normal day for Stuart and Rainie! Drug taking, murder it's all in a days work!
