So many stories to keep tabs on at the moment.

Is anyone going to watch Jessica Plummer in I'm a Celebrity?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/11/2020 17:03

Doesn't Ian part own the Queen Vic with Sharon. Why did he need Sharon's blessing and permission to stay there

If you rent, is your landlord allowed to just come and stay whenever they want to?

SoupDragon · 11/11/2020 17:23

I still think Mick could be Frankie's father, or at least was abused. A memory of what someone was wearing is very different to a memory of having sex with someone, surely? I can't see EE just ditching is as a "false accusation" as that isn't the way they tend to go with storylines (and also casts a shadow over historical abuse claims in real life
I think)

It's all very odd.

Does Sharron pay him rent? Also isn't the house his not Cathy's?
tobee · 11/11/2020 18:00

Omg EE is so confusing at times! I think they should provide a map of who lives where in the square and who's on the title deeds before each episode Grin. Actually, also where all the kiddies are kept in the kiddie kupboard!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 11/11/2020 18:02

I don’t think Sharon rents from Ian. I thought they both owned the Vic. I could be wrong though.
Woodhill. Yes you’re right. IRL Ian could go back to his house and Kathy wouldn’t have a legal leg to stand on. No judge in the land would and could allow a home owner to be kicked out of their house.
I also hope EE isn’t going to go with a false accusation story. We had Gray get away with abusing and murdering his wife which as I’ve said was an absolute sickening disservice to sufferers and survivors of DV.
I should imagine people will be highly annoyed if they do another disservice to abused kids as well.

tobee · 11/11/2020 18:06

Maybe Kathy is, in effect, blackmailing Ian and won't tell the authorities about his deception on the remortgage? EE has it own justice system!!

SoupDragon · 11/11/2020 18:08

My point is that it is Sharon's home, not Ian's. He can't just stay there whenever he likes.

He can't throw Kathy out of his house as he has committed fraud against her - she could turn him in and no judge in the land would find against her!

tobee · 11/11/2020 18:11

Isn't it the "right to enjoy peaceful something or other"?

tobee · 11/11/2020 18:12

Tbf it's shocking that Sharon is able to be so forgiving of the odious Ian. But then she has had him behind her in desperate times.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 11/11/2020 18:15

Yes but wouldn’t Kathy also go to prison for blackmailing Ian.

SoupDragon · 11/11/2020 18:16

And he owns most of the pub. Actually, I think he must own all of it actually given how he was treating her as his employee when she turned down his declaration of love. I don't think she owns any of it.

Lucindainthesky · 11/11/2020 18:17

I think Mick is Frankie's dad. Why would Katy keep saying "I could go to prison for this"...she wouldn't go to prison for a 30 year old accusation - unless a DNA test proved he has fathered Frankie.

Also found it uncomfortable when she told Mick he was special...it was like she was grooming him all over again.

tobee · 11/11/2020 18:17

Btw was the Phil/Richie stuff them trying to cook it so it looks like Phil has no money and therefore none to give Sharon in a divorce settlement? I drifted off a bit there.

Sharon still has the villa in Spain which Mel wrangled out of her. Lisa, Louise and Peggy must be out there?

More huge amounts of money characters magically have instant access to and then, just as easily, lose

SoupDragon · 11/11/2020 18:20

@Awwlookatmybabyspider

Yes but wouldn’t Kathy also go to prison for blackmailing Ian.
I doubt it.

It just means no one can do anything though. Ian can't throw her out as he has most to lose - it would completely ruin him. Kathy his come back from the dead - she can recover from anything.

SoupDragon · 11/11/2020 18:21

Yes, Phil was going on about having nothing of value for Sharon to take apart from his West Ham shirt and all the cash he was going to buy Raymond with

tobee · 11/11/2020 18:27

Everyone's a bit horrible on EE at the moment!

(Exaggeration)

woodhill · 11/11/2020 18:28

The blackmail nonsense is used way too much.

Kat snooping and listening to Phil's call then stealing the shirt.

the80sweregreat · 11/11/2020 18:44

I often wonder why so many actors divorce. Is it the long hours away from home I wonder? Having the money to just up and leave? It seems to the one profession where marriages do not seem to last. Sad though.
I love how Ritchie does all the lawyer affairs for the Mitchell's! Surely this really is fantasy ? She seems to drop everything when Phil calls as well!

SpanishFly · 11/11/2020 21:42

the80sweregreat I've thought about this a lot. Esp re Hollywood marriages. I actually think a lot of it is to do with the general personality of people who go into TV and movie acting - a bit more confident than many/extrovert/sensitive/emotional etc etc. If you combine that sort of personality with the storylines they're having to live through - day in, day out, pretending eg to be in a passionate relationship with someone, kissing someone else, etc etc, you can sort of see where emotional attachments and/or feelings may change for them, and possibly also get diverted elsewhere.
I don't know if I've explained that very well 😕

Thismustbelove · 11/11/2020 21:54

Also found it uncomfortable when she told Mick he was special...it was like she was grooming him all over again.

It was sinister.

I think he is the father and he was groomed.

SpookyNoise · 11/11/2020 22:01

Easily solved with a DNA test. I don’t know why Mick hasn’t suggested it.

PinkDaydreams · 11/11/2020 22:03

@SpookyNoise

Because that would be far too sensible an option! 😂
excelledyourself · 11/11/2020 22:18

I suppose it's all to show the mind games abusers play and how they manipulate their victims. Mick hasn't suggested a DNA test because he doubts himself, not Katy. It's quite uncomfortable to watch, but will be interesting to see how it plays out. I'm just disappointed it's Mick. Him and Linda have been through plenty of depressing storylines, and I just can't take to Danny Dyer playing any kind of victim.
