Enjoyed Good Girls and Dead to Me recently. Any recommendations?

Emily in Paris - cheesy, light hearted and have been really enjoying

yoyoyooo · 13/10/2020 19:50

Also Katherine Ryan's The Duchess. Totally ridiculous but easy watching, funny but also nearly had me in tears at one point

lemonandthyme · 13/10/2020 19:50

Schitts Creek (Netflix) is great

dorispiffle · 13/10/2020 19:50

Ghosts

FuddyDuddy65 · 13/10/2020 19:54

Schitts Creek so funny

LemonDrizzles · 13/10/2020 19:57

Harley Quinn is so good. Used to be on ch 4.

MoiraNotRuby · 13/10/2020 19:57

Agree with all the suggestions so far except I haven't seen Ghosts.

Also The Good Place and Parks and Recreation.

Wierdly I found binging Handmaid's Tale really cheered me up, I think because at least even Trump hasn't implemented gilead yet. And its brilliantly made.

Really enjoyed light comedy, Atypical.
Reign is a light hearted historical romp with some fun moments

viques · 13/10/2020 19:59

Have you tried Life in Pieces? Really good cast (including the child actors) , very funny scripts complete with proper rude bits, no canned audience. Three short stories in each episode so no messing about padding out a weak idea.

SilentBob · 13/10/2020 19:59

An oldie but a goodie- Shakespeare and Hathaway.

Seconding Ghosts, too.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 13/10/2020 20:01

Parks and recreation-
Brooklyn 99
Grace and frankie

Ghosts is great, series 1 & Series 2

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 13/10/2020 20:02

@yoyoyooo

Me too, loved it! She's hysterical, couldn't stand Olive though!

Ghosts is awesome! Both series.

MidnightFlit · 13/10/2020 20:02

Detectorists - gentle, good-hearted, beautifully photographed, genuinely moving comedy about middle-aged friendship, hope, and the little traces of humanity we leave behind.

Jujuball · 13/10/2020 20:03

Schitts Creek definitely!

isthismylifenow · 13/10/2020 20:03

Virgin river.

I'm watching Offspring at the moment which I'm quite enjoying as its light. With some quirky characters

SummerHouse · 13/10/2020 20:09

The actress in Ghosts was also in Siblings which was also brilliant!

katmunchkin · 13/10/2020 20:10

Love Life on bbc

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 13/10/2020 20:13

I really enjoyed the first series of Living the Dream with Phillip Glenister and Lesley Sharp, the sunshine and silly bits just cheered me up, second wasn't so good.

1starwars2 · 13/10/2020 20:14

Friday Night Dinner on iplayer. DS who loves comedy (and swearing) has just discovered it. It is the perfect mix on the everyday and the ridiculous. I love it.
