Enjoyed Good Girls and Dead to Me recently. Any recommendations?

Schitts Creek - give it time, it’s definitely a grower

Life in Pieces

Modern Family

I 'm joining in with all the voices suggestingSchitt'sCreek. Watch a few episodes to get to know the characters. It is funny, clever and inoffensive in a good way. DH is very hard to please but loving it. I agree with pp's point about short episodes too.

@VanGoghsDog

It seems we have the same taste. What are you watching now? I am on season 5 of Offspring so will plough through the last two seasons fairly rapidly I am sure. Then I have to find something else Grin

I get so disappointed when I finish a series that I loved. I feel like I have a gaping hole sometimes. This how I felt after I finished Schitts Creek.

Ghosts

both series are on iPlayer. You will find yourself saying 'Moonah, moonah'

shartsi · 15/10/2020 07:43

Younger on comedy central/ sky

Well: Ghosts (fab); Life (bit lame); Love Life (watchable); Us (dull).

I've not seen Schitts Creek but as it's recommended so much I think I'll try that next.

Oh, I tried Emily in Paris but found it predictable and vacuous. Only managed two episodes.

Grace and frankie ? Writing is a bit patchy but lily tomlin and Jane Fonda are laugh out loud at times. Plus sam Waterstone and Martin sheen ffs. And milicent Martin and everything now and then Paul Michael glaser and others.

BlackCatsRule88 · 15/10/2020 08:41

This Country is good, genuinely made me laugh out loud. Similar vibe to the Office.

I forgot to put Two Doors Down on my list

BrieAndChilli · 15/10/2020 11:19

Jane the virgin. I love the narrator.

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 15/10/2020 11:23

The marvellous Mrs Maisel
Ghosts
Mum
The Detectorists
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Mad Men

k1233 · 15/10/2020 11:27

Ones not mentioned above:

Old but funny - Coupling (on prime)
Cuckoo - Netflix

Searchesforhipbones · 15/10/2020 11:29

Love schitts creek soooooo much because it’s like therapy for me right now.

Call my agent is also brilliant!

TheVanguardSix · 15/10/2020 11:32

I rewatched Motherland (series1) on Netflix recently. Its one of the funniest shows ever! It completely and utterly lifted me up watching it again.

FrankieStein402 · 15/10/2020 11:38

'nailed it' on Netflix - the 'bad baking' version of bake off.
very American participants but if you can cope with that it's a hoot.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 15/10/2020 11:45

Ghosts
Yonderland - same actor’s/writers as Ghosts and can be watched with kids.
Friday Night Dinner
Motherland
Derry Girls

Stumpedasatree · 17/10/2020 22:51

Thanks for your suggestions all! I love Motherland and Friday Night Dinner too but the others are new to me.
