Looking for recommendation. We have Netflix and Prime. And bbc.
What can we watch which we will all enjoy? We loved watching the Race Around the World Series.
I don't want to always watch Marvel films so looking for something that we will all look forward to.

I watch Nailed It on Netflix with my seven year old. There’s also a show called Man vs Wild which is like an interactive choose your own adventure.

Snappyteabread · 02/10/2020 18:31

I'll check those out. Thank you

A series of unfortunate events is one of my favourite series ever, as an adult Smile My kids (8 & 6) loved it.

Livingthecovidaloca · 02/10/2020 18:36

Once upon a time on Netflix.
Fairy tales with a twist.

Chasingsquirrels · 02/10/2020 18:36

Merlin if you can find it.

jerrywesterby · 02/10/2020 19:00

Ghosts on iplayer is great

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/10/2020 19:02

Heartland if you can deal with horses and a whole lot of melodrama. Otherwise, the floor is lava, zumo's just desserts, sugar rush, and gbbo. We have bakers in the house Cake

covetingthepreciousthings · 02/10/2020 19:16

Merlin if you can find it.

I was thinking about this the other day after bingeing my way through The Fall and spotting Merlin.. is it available anywhere?

OnlyToWin · 02/10/2020 19:18

We loved Race Around the World too and also enjoyed The Sewing Bee and Bake Off. It’s good when it is not all available in one go, so you can all look forward to it together.

MillieMollieMandi · 02/10/2020 19:19

Just add magic. Surprisingly entertaining!

TattyMcBab · 02/10/2020 19:21

The Bear Grylls You Decide are a quick enjoyable fix for my eight year old.

OnlyToWin · 02/10/2020 19:22

We also enjoyed Hunted where people have to reach a final point without being caught by the hunters.

Scrunchcake · 02/10/2020 19:23

I think Merlin might be on iplayer just now

Mumdiva99 · 02/10/2020 20:42

If you are quite relaxed about what your 7 year old watches then we all enjoyed James May in Japan.

salty78 · 02/10/2020 20:45

Ghosts and Yonderland, Bake-off.

Snappyteabread · 02/10/2020 22:26

Some great suggestions now all added to my list. Thank you!

I know people have already said it, but I came on here to add Bake Off to the list.

We all also love Would I Lie To You - it gets us all laughing and any "adult" humour goes over the younger ones' heads.

namechange8765433 · 02/10/2020 22:31

I know you didn't ask for films but the 3 Johnny English films go down well here too, when I request we watch something other than Marvel.

Karisque · 02/10/2020 22:31

Ice Age 3?

My 10 yr old loved ghosts until the scout leader went through his death in the first series and she literally went as white as a ghost Wink and has refused to watch it since. For some reason, it really affected her (possibly because she's a scout Confused).

Mine love Gilmore girls (especially my eldest) although the odd episode is slightly inappropriate. We also like zumbo sugar rush and just desserts. We are massive bake off fans and strictly which I noticed has all old series on iPlayer....

Recently started watching once upon a time and they both enjoyed that i wasn't overly impressed but probably need to give it time as it's v popular

GBBO airs on C4 now. Wink

Mine are 9,12 and 13 and like impractical jokers on Netflix. Sometimes there’s something a little inappropriate but it goes over the little ones head.

AestheticWitch · 02/10/2020 22:44

My two love The Next Step, and Heidi, it is on You Tube.

The Long Long Holiday was one of the best things we ever saw, if that ever came back to Netflix.

The Dumping Ground on CBBC.

user1471530109 · 02/10/2020 22:46

@Karisque I meant Strictly on iPlayer Glitterball Grin!

user1471530109 · 02/10/2020 22:48

as in ...come dancing 🤦🏻‍♀️
