The model on the Evans ad is a bit um, ordinary do you not think?

Is she a competition winner or something? There are plenty of stunning plus size models yet the one that is modelling for the biggest plus size chain is, well, a bit of a minger. She is pleasant looking but not fab and I think that they could help larger women feel better if they were represented as stunning instead of girl-next-door-ish.

silly - nits don't spread that way !!

LOL at home-edding to avoid nits. I know what you mean though. I am trying to be cool about it, but I know that the first time I see one of the diabolical critters in DS's hair, I am going to furr-EAK. And I don't even want to think about what I'll do if I get them - cut my own head off, perhaps. Soon grow another one.

Do they not?
Really?

ScaremyVile · 07/10/2007 17:42

PW - My mum (love her) used to crack them between her two thumb nails - I always thought it was the eggs, but I have been reliably informed that no, it was the actual beasts. Shocking.

I was thinking about this and I think that perhaps it is the styling that looks kind of amateurish, that and some of the clothes are a bit crap(wide horizontal stripes for plus size women).
she is pretty and lord knows that the advertising business these days has enough make up and lighting tricks to make anyone look super-glam so I suspect it is on purpose to make plus size women feel comfortable, which is still a bit afaiac.
