Where are you all??

I can't be the only person cringing at "the riddler" and all the bloody sob stories??

lissielou · 30/09/2007 11:00

i really enjoyed it last night. simons still got it!

LIZS · 30/09/2007 11:04

Apparently the brother/sister group was staged too, they had originally auditioned as individuals. How bitchy were those girls ! Louis will get rid of the joke man, he didn't want to keep him anyway, Is Rid really under 24 ?

Flamesparrow · 30/09/2007 11:09

I was looking at Rid thinking that too!

I think I'll enjoy it more when we get onto live shows

Furball · 30/09/2007 11:10

the poor over 25's having louis who obviously doesn't want that particular group as their mentor, going to do them alot of favours. It was only a matter of time before he got them, surely thats fair?

It's so samey samey isn't it? we seem to be flooded with it every year. Where are the other winners? are we bovered? Maybe they should cut it to every other year? and surely [another moan] any that are 14 could wait for a few years and enter when they are old enough and have at least finished their basic education.

lissielou · 30/09/2007 11:12

i really dont think that 14yo's should be taking part in something like this. at 14 do you have the emotional maturity to deal with the rejection, pressure etc?

Flamesparrow · 30/09/2007 11:13

Every other year would be better.

Bloody "I nearly died last year, now I have a dream" girl - she's 14 - at 13 I wanted to be an author, by 14 I was being a doctor, by 16, a nurse... maybe I'm just fickle, but in my world, dreams change (appendicitis or no!)

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 30/09/2007 11:14

children's dreams change I meant

agree FS.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 30/09/2007 19:41

That wedding singer guy was really good, can't believe he got the boot.

anniebear · 01/10/2007 07:34

I did like a young lad called Andy though!!! Thought he was lovely!!!

MummyPenguin · 01/10/2007 10:16

I find it really annoying the way some of them really draaaggg out their sob stories. Like, as a lot of you have mentioned, "I nearly died last year" How many times did she have to remind us? I find myself shouting at the telly "yes and so did a lot of people, but you didn't so just fucking shut up about it and get on with the singing." There's something very old fashioned about that girl.

Rid, if he gets to the live shows, won't be there long, as the public will hate him. I love Sharon's use of the word 'revolting' for him.

I like the 31 year old single Dad, leather jacket wearer. This year's eye candy.

The young black boy is lovely. I liked the wedding singer too, shame he was put out.

anniebear · 01/10/2007 11:13

they did apparently get told to go to town on their sob stories as this would help them lots, so I suppose they are not fully to blame

I think I like that man also, presume he was he in the older section? I couldnt remember his name but thought he was lovely!

MummyPenguin · 01/10/2007 22:49

Well, they've definitely gone to town on them!! Which man did you like anniebear? The leather jacket wearing single Dad? Yep, he was in the over 25's and so was the wedding singer who I thought was cute in a snuggly kinda way!

Raahh · 07/10/2007 17:16

ok, so not bootcamp, but did anyone else see last nights?

if louis doesn't get rid of that wierd bloke who can't sing (but is 'entertaining'wtf then it is a fix...

and Dannii- for the good of the world- GET RID OF RID!!!!

they have split this into 2 parts to show the final selection bit on sunday night-(prob nothing at all to do with the fact 'strictly' is also doing a sunday night episode [cynical emoticon])

i wish i had a more fulfilling life and something better to occupy my time....

unknownrebelbang · 07/10/2007 17:28

Sod the contestants, I want Kate and Ben back! I like Dermot but Fearne just makes me want to switch off (I'm sure she's lovely really, lol, but soooo irritating on this).

I'm also fed up of the sob stories, it's a singing competition ffs.

Raahh · 07/10/2007 18:34

i want kate back too! dermot really annoys me, and fearne is just shocking- have you seen fearne and holly go dating ffs???? i watched 5 minutes and wanted to slap the both of them.

their mothers' must be so proud

AND- are any of the contestants ever HAPPY????
sob sob - single dad (so who is looking after your pfb whilst you're swanning around, huh??)
sob sob , nearly died, er but YOU DIDN'T!!
sob sob love my mum (not a very inspired sob story ,that one)
and sob sob i'm only a wee baby me, don't shout at me...i REALLY will be able to hack it in the live finals when you pick on me sob sob....

(Or will only a million pound recording contract make them smile)

pinkbubble · 07/10/2007 18:40

I agree, they are there to sing, not for sympathy! Hope that doesn't make mesound cynical!

I also sat through last nights, and then sat through tonights, which I thought was the same waiting to see who are the final 12. Only to be told at the end of the programme to watch late to see who has gone through! - Wht repeat the programe? I thought that they were showing it as a catch up before going straight on to telling us, now I'm not sure I will be watching the next bit of X Factor, as DH can only stand so much Of X Factor in one night!

Flamesparrow · 07/10/2007 18:54

Dannii obviously doesn;t agree with the under 16s in!

OP posts:
pinkbubble · 07/10/2007 18:56

Interesting to see what the others think? I think you could be right about Danni!

Flamesparrow · 07/10/2007 18:59

There's no other reason in the world to put "The Riddler" through

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 07/10/2007 19:39

Shock horror with dadonhisdeathbed and ihadappendicitis

OP posts:
Raahh · 07/10/2007 19:46

crying boy didn't wear his seatbelt...

Raahh · 07/10/2007 19:57

alisha wasn't either...ffs!!

LIZS · 07/10/2007 19:58

Can't believe she picked Rhydian over the young black kid or that Sharon went for the really annoying one with non waterproof mascara.

anniebear · 07/10/2007 20:04

why on earth did Simon pick the brother/sister???

it will be kinda like watching the Macdonald Brothers again lol

It is cringeworthy , I cant believe he thinks for a minute they will get anywhere?????

I always thought he had a good sense of judgement
