Things I have tried but couldn't get into:

Ozark
The Stranger
Unabomber
The Sinner (loved the first one with Jessica Biel, but subsequent seasons dragged on).
How to get away with Murder

Can anyone recommend anything particularly thrilling? Series like Normal People and slushy stuff aren't really for me. Nor am I into comedy particularly.
I love thrillers and serial killer type dramas, and am unlikely to deviate from that

@villamariavintrapp ohhh I didn't know it was on Prime. I can't get stuck into anything new at the moment as I can't seem to concentrate. Looking forward to watching the Americans.

Another vote for The Bridge and Happy Valley here. Also Hinterland.

Lost is utter rubbish IMO.

@sandyposy is it worth sticking with it? Seemed to change tack on Ep 5 so couldn't be bothered. It was a bit disappointing for me.

Another vote for cardinal. His voice grates a bit though.

I'm also a fan of this genre yet consider myself "normal". I've not seen all of the above but am adding "We hunt together" on Sky, I'm halfway through it. I've got a few episodes left of The Fall but don't want to run out of watching my beloved Jamie.
Ok not exactly like the above but, and I don't normally go for US shows, have you tried You? I really liked it, both series (as we used to say).

Oh and the Cormoran Strikes are on iPlayer.

If you haven't seen it before Happy Valley is an oldie but absolutely brilliant, best thing I've watched for years.

Also just worked our way through Luther and DP loves Mindhunter.

@Mumteedum I enjoyed the last five episodes, not as good as the first story but worth watching. Especially if, like me, you can’t get enough of the Norwegian pronunciation of ‘hi’

Have you watched Dark on Netflix? It's German. It's really bloody good if you can cope with subtitles.

@Dieu I'm about to finish series 3 for the second time and am kind of putting it off as I know what happens to my poor, darling future husband. He's just misunderstood 😶.
