Does anyone else watch Four in a bed? I love it! Seem most of them along the years.

Well this weeks one ... bearing in mind I'm usually cooking, finishing work etc so got it on in the background really so half paying attention, ended really quite 😳😮

The chat bit clearly seemed to have broken into a fight and they didn't get back together to congratulate the winners ... any thoughts?

I watched that, but then the last bloody episode (the one where they exchange views and payments) didn't record! I was raging!
Does anyone know how to find specific episodes?

BringMeTea · 21/06/2020 22:28

On All4 catch up...

eatsleepread · 21/06/2020 22:48

@BringMeTea
Thanks. Do you happen to know which series/episode? I'll be there all day otherwise!

Starksforthewin · 21/06/2020 22:52

I thought lodge couple ( forgive me for not remembering their names) were absolutely darling!
Their lodges were stunning inside and the free welcome package and card were just so personal and caring.
I’ve made a note of the place as I would book there in a heartbeat. If we are ever allowed to do so again.
Horrid Karen’s place was attractive on the surface, gorgeous building.
However, I bet the vibe would be miserable, and she would be assessing you for suitability to be allowed to stay.

I also noticed she didn’t know how to hold a knife properly! I wouldn’t even notice normally, but she set herself up as Lady Muck so she deserves the joshing! 😀

BringMeTea · 21/06/2020 22:56

@eatsleepread it was this week gone so the catch up section still has day by day listings. i did it that way. Well worth a wee binge.

eatsleepread · 21/06/2020 23:00

Got it! Thank you SmileStar

BringMeTea · 21/06/2020 23:07

Sit back and enjoy the unfolding drama...

eatsleepread · 21/06/2020 23:29

Thought there was going to be more drama than there actually was! Grin
Karen's husband was equally odious, so she shouldn't be getting all the blame.
Loved all the others. Pete and Sue were adorable.

Lollypop4 · 21/06/2020 23:31

My partner is about to begin filming for 4 in a bed!
Was due to start the week of lockdown, but filming resumes September!
Exciting

custardbear · 22/06/2020 02:32

@Lollypop4 how exciting! Is it all filmed night after night? So it all happens over 5 days? Or is it more spread out than that?

The Portland in Ashington???
Oh my days! Used to be where teenagers ended up on their nights out snogging the faces off used to be teens.

Last year we stayed in a B& B that had been on 4 in a bed. The owner told us it wasn't filmed over consecutive nights, the production team may have had a hand in goading rivals/ leaving hairs - makes great TV - and one couple went out of business because of the negative reviews people left after watching the show - most reviewers never actually stayed at their place.

I'll be watching it tomorrow after my night shift tonight!

MrsOrMiss · 22/06/2020 06:24

Just watched it Shock
How un self aware are Karin and Graham? Totally odious is spot on, the pair of them.
Pete and Sue should've won hands down.

I'm pretty sure the guy from The Portland went to school with my son.

Pannacottaformeplease · 22/06/2020 06:45

I'm just about to watch this now. One contestant that stands out from years ago was a woman who ran a B&B that featured donkeys - Happy Donkey Hill or something along those lines. She was awful.

Starksforthewin · 22/06/2020 06:49

I felt sure that the production team would be encouraging some friction and talk of ‘gameplaying’ but I’m shocked this goes as far as ‘hair planting’!
I’ve always been a bit surprised just how many hairs are found in beds though. My cleaning standards are nowhere near the expectations in the show, but I’ve never found hairs in any of my beds, and this show made me look! 😀

I guess it’s a bit like Come Dine With Me, which we’ve learned over time is not filmed in sequence etc.

Good luck to your partner, Lollypop!

TowelHoarder · 22/06/2020 07:10

Ooh I’ll have to watch it, I used to love FIAB until I watched too many and put myself off it.

It amazes me that there’s always one couple that doesn’t understand that winning FIAB shouldn’t be their goal, they should be selling themselves to the viewers!

I remember one couple who turned their noses up at every place and raves about how the husband was a professional 5 star chef or some such, and then their place was a converted bungalow with weird shaped rooms and the breakfast was on the poor side of normal.

custardbear · 22/06/2020 08:16

@Starksforthewin - eeerrrrr so Come Dine with me isnt consecutive nights 😳😱

And as for the production team hair planting 🤢 and how nasty! My opinion of FIAB has slumped (not that I'll stop watching it lol 😆)

Its done over 10 days.
2 days filming, 1 day to travel to next location, 2 day filming, home weekend, then same again.
😊

Lollypop4 · 22/06/2020 09:56

Thanks x

exiledfromcornwall · 22/06/2020 17:22

Just watched it on catch-up. Didn't realise it had nearly come to fisticuffs. The winners were truly odious, but I have seen plenty of others just as bad (and I have watched a lot of them!). Pity when people play games like that because it totally distorts the result.

Susiesue61 · 22/06/2020 19:34

Thanks for this, DH and I just watched the last 3! Brilliant, now on series link 😊

Cruddles · 23/06/2020 07:33

I only ever catch the end of the last episode when waiting for the Come Dine With Me omnibus to start on a Sunday, and every week it seems like there's q massive falling out with someone. This one must be exceptional.

They seem to forget that they're on national TV and most of the time they don't seem to be doing themselves any favours. If i owned a B&B i wouldn't go on it

climbingcorfecastle · 23/06/2020 08:46

I was quite disappointed by the lack of drama, there was one I watched recently where they had unpaid everyone massively and won as a result, no one stood with them at the end to congratulate them, can't even remember where any of it was set but drama wise it was much better.
Karen strikes me as a nouveau riche type Who is trying to come across all airs and graces, but her mask slipped several times! There property should have won though. I actually couldn't believe the price of the lodge though, it is a glorified caravan in Derby, no way would I ever think £200+ per night was justified, regardless of how nice it is.

SingleHandSue · 23/06/2020 15:56

Just watched that weeks episodes.

Wow, how to fuck yourselves over! I really hope they struggle to get bookings now after showing themselves to be such utter arseholes.

They have such a gorgeous B&B too, it deserves nicer owners.

I like to think that Sue and Katrin took Karen outside and beat the crap out of her and that’s why they didn’t show them together at the end

ButteryPuffin · 23/06/2020 16:02

@Singlehandsue did you get it on All4? I've just gone to watch the last two parts and it's said unavailable!

SingleHandSue · 23/06/2020 16:35

I used the search button on my sky remote to find FIAB, the first episode strangely comes up titled Meudon Hotel on series 15 and seperate from the rest of the week’s, but that’s the first episode of the week.

Then for the rest if you scroll across and choose Series 2020 they’re there near the bottom.
