The Rob Lowe series will be a spin -off. I'd love to see him introduced in the main series.
Maybe there'll be some crossover epiosodes.

DH told me about that, wasn't sure if it was a cross over spin off like Grey's and S19 or like when they did CSI in different locations but they were independent of each other.

Hell yes, Sleeping. The dishy doc definitely had something going on there with Athena’s ex, whose name escapes me.
I probably wouldn’t watch a spin off. It annoys me when producers do that - it’s like they’re exploiting your investment in a series.

Yes, she (Abbie? I’m terrible with characters’ names!) was the call handler who took ALL the calls just like Maddie does now, and had an equally messy personal life. She had an elderly DM with dementia and a younger lover, IIRC.
