How can I go from crying with laughter then sobbing like my heart is breaking the next all within one 30 minute programme.

It’s so good.
Anyone been watching?

Regarding location spotting, where is the house, the outside is gorgeous and which beach? The sea he walked into was so clear and green, where was that?

Loved it!

I liked it, watched both series this week. I hated the therapist scenes, they had escalated too much, also found them saying cunt as their swear word of choice a bit irritating.
Would definitely watch a series 3.

Just finished both series. Loved it!

Ricky Gervais can do no wrong in my eyes.

Everything he touches is magic.

After Life, for me, is up there with his best work.
How he can portray grief so accurately is astounding.

I've never watched anything where I go from happy to heartbroken to happy again in a single scene.

After every episode, I just want to hold my husband and tell him all the little things don't matter and that I love him very much.
I've noticed after an episode, we're always a bit more affectionate with each other (for a few minutes anyway!)
Any piece of drama that can change the dynamics of a real life relationship is pretty impressive in my book!

Love Ricky to bits.

Wow! What a rollercoaster, from laughing to crying my eyes out.
Amazing work from Ricky Gervais 👏

Marsalimay · 09/05/2020 21:50

Series one was great, the final episode and final scene were amazing tv in my opinion. I really wanted to love this series as much, but I just couldn't. It was as though Gervais' heart wasn't in the writing, he didn't seem to commit to any particular story line.

Im not a Ricky fan at all. But I watched the first season because someone recommended it. Loved every minute of it and was really looking forward the the second season. I saved it to watch after an afternoon of gardening so that I would be in the mood for staying put and watching the whole series at one go.
It started well but I hated the therapist. Does Paul Kaye have a hold over a casting director or something? He only plays himself and that isnt a pleasant experience for anyone.
I did like they tribute to Ever decreasing circles with Ann (Penelope Wilton) and Paul(Peter Egan ) having the same character names again and still with the possibility that they might get together.

Just finished watching season 2 (after watching season 1 at the weekend). Thought it was superb. RG is a creative genius! Absolutely sublime show and Penelope Wilton is fab in it. Love their relationship.

The out takes are online.
The outages of the bar science in series 2 is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
A wonderful series with brilliant performances
