I liked Faith and Coven most

Soubriquet · 25/04/2020 21:11

🎵I wanna love you every daaaaay🎵

Probably more entertaining if you’re there and having the atmosphere with the audience Grin

PorpentiaScamander · 25/04/2020 21:11

This guys from my hometown Grin

Letsplough · 25/04/2020 21:12

He was funny though & that's a pretty catchy song Smile

LIZS · 25/04/2020 21:52

The young girl has been in the Tina Turner musical in the West End, singing a version of the same song. Normally the judges question the age appropriateness of such selections for children's voices.

Piggywaspushed · 26/04/2020 09:33

Oh, that rather takes the shine off.

Such an attractive family though!

mangomama91 · 26/04/2020 10:07

I LOVED the last song!
Me and my girls were dancing around the living room! We love it! My husband not so impressed 😂😂

Standrewsschool · 26/04/2020 12:14

I thought the girl was really good. However, I agree that knowing she has performed in West End makes her less of a discovery.

In the beginning, you genuinely had undiscovered talents- Paul Potts, Diversity Etc. Now the acts are rubbish or semi-professional - last years winner Lost Voice Man had a comedy career prior to BGT.

Virgo1958 · 27/04/2020 12:36

Yes, the young girl was talented but surely she's 'made it'. I'd prefer it to be amateur performers.

LaneBoy · 27/04/2020 15:13

Yes same. Shouldn’t it be a bit like masterchef being only for people who don’t already work in food (I don’t think actual chefs can apply can they?!)

She was absolutely brilliant but knowing she’s already a performer has changed it IMHO.

Sertchgi123 · 27/04/2020 15:34

I think BGT is very entertaining. Those that don't, there is an off button.

LIZS · 27/04/2020 15:48

I guess it is no different to comedians, musicians or singers who work the club scene for a living. Personally I prefer the less stage schooly children's voices and presentation. It was such a self assured performance that it screamed professional, beyond just talent or training. It will be interesting to see if her repertoire expands in subsequent rounds.

yatapina · 27/04/2020 21:03

@Sertchgi123, I think people are just bored of the same old things being trotted out over and over again... I don't want to switch off, I want to be entertained as the show used to do.

Now it's all dull singers and repetitive dance acts. Surely there are more interesting people at the auditions!

Sertchgi123 · 27/04/2020 21:56

I love it. Don’t watch if you don’t like it.

Soubriquet · 28/04/2020 10:05

I enjoy watching it but you don’t get any unexpected acts now like Paul Potts or Susan Boyle

A lot of acts are head hunted

Virgo1958 · 28/04/2020 10:51

Also they never mention 'is already a West End performer' on the show they in fact imply the girl is going through negativity so they know it impacts on people's opinions.

TofutiKline · 28/04/2020 11:07

A lot of acts are head hunted

Yep. I know of two people - in very different spheres of entertainment - who have been approached to apply. They’re told they wouldn’t need to go through the preliminary “hanging about queueing for hours” audition stages but would go straight through to being on stage in front of Simon et al.

Elderflower14 · 02/05/2020 20:07

Dancing Turtles??? 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 02/05/2020 20:09

Excited about the orchestra not sure about the turtles

Elderflower14 · 02/05/2020 20:11

Now that WAS talent!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

OP posts:
LaneBoy · 02/05/2020 20:13

We all watched the turtles like Hmm

Orchestra was lovely - I hope in future rounds they maybe do fewer songs but spend a bit longer on each

yatapina · 02/05/2020 20:14

Turtles were a bit. Another "edgy" dance act... Same old thing but with a costume 🤔

Enjoyed the orchestra though!

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 02/05/2020 20:15

Loved that!!!! 1) haven't had many orchestras in the past. 2) it won't be the same thing for every round in a different sequence 3) once they are famous they can do stuff of cultural significance 4) most importantly whatever can be done to raise the profile of classical music and break down its stuffy personna has my vote

yatapina · 02/05/2020 20:19

Needless son story... Cue sad song. Meh 🙄

yatapina · 02/05/2020 20:19
