Anyone? I’m ten minutes in and not sure.

I think that I wish this was set in Britain.

I've seen the episode with Carlton's relationship breaking up. He was in a completely different conversation to the rest of us. I can't imagine anything like that being shown on a UK reality tv show.

ThisIsItGotToChange · 19/02/2020 18:12

Me! Can’t wait, I think they’ll all start having meltdowns.

bugbhaer · 19/02/2020 18:32

I find Jessica annoying in a lot of ways, but I really feel bad for her and that she's got herself in to this awful situation. Mark has some really worrying traits.

bugbhaer · 19/02/2020 20:15

Actually I've seen a bit more. She just loses her marbles around Barnett.

SayNoToCarrots · 19/02/2020 20:43

Mark is just sad. He thought she loved him (through a wall), then she sacked him off (and he got too upset) and came running back as soon as Barnett sacked her off, and despite claiming he would never be second choice he was proposing to her within the day. He is totally ignoring the fact that she clearly doesn't fancy him.

northernlittledonkey · 19/02/2020 20:54

I’m hooked too, total trash tv. I thought they were actors too! Totally staged!

mrssmith79 · 19/02/2020 21:32

4 episodes released tomorrow and just realised that the wedding episode finale isn't released until the 27th!!

Witcher · 19/02/2020 21:42

@SavageBeauty73 I have no idea..

@mrssmith79 you've made my day is it really 4 released tomorrow!!!

@northernlittledonkey I think its staged too... none of then are hideous looking so cant be that desperate surely !!! Wont stop me watching it though 😁

inchoccyheaven · 19/02/2020 22:18

I've been watching too.
I think Barnett did like all 3 but if different ways and as it's supposed to be making the ultimate commitment didn't want to choose the wrong one. I do think his fiancee-can't remember her name right now is quite annoying and if was marking him as her territory in front of Jessica.
Completely agree about Jessica and Mark, she doesn't fancy him and he is quite aggressive. He was her back up.

Carlton was out of order completely with Diamond. In his bits to camera before they were together, he felt being bi was a big deal and he was scared of being rejected but then to go off at her and claiming no one else had a problem with it just didn't ring true. He either should have told her before proposing or not at all.

I find it just bizarre that within days they feel they are in love and ready to propose. It's not real life at all. Will be amazed if any really survive being together all the time and back to reality.

bugbhaer · 20/02/2020 09:01

Episode 6 - I think Jessica can't stand Mark. She's trapped and can't get out of the situation. She seems to be drunk quite a lot of the time. It was so funny watching her meet the housemates. Seems like 10 years is a big age difference in your 20s/30s.

bugbhaer · 20/02/2020 09:09

Cameron's house! I think I'll marry him.

I’m on episode 1 but I’m hooked, found my new trash TV viewing.

SayNoToCarrots · 20/02/2020 10:07

Jessica needs to give up on Barnett, it's embarrassing.

bugbhaer · 20/02/2020 10:24

I liked her saying how he’d be different if he was with her. I hope that she’s getting lots of support Sad

I feel like Lauren has a huge issue with Cameron being white. I’ve just watched their first meeting, and all she mentions is the race difference and yet he doesn’t mention her race once. I get that she has totally different life experiences because of her race but it just seems like something she might not be able to overcome.

Does anyone else think Carlton might be gay and not wanting to admit it?

bugbhaer · 20/02/2020 11:11

I think race is a much bigger issue in the US.

OP posts:
SabineSchmetterling · 20/02/2020 11:21

I think it’s easy to say she seems more preoccupied with race than he is but that’s likely because his race isn’t something that he’s consciously thinking about in his day to day life whereas she doesn’t have that same luxury of being “colourblind”. Lauren is being realistic and I think she has a very healthy attitude towards the whole process. Cameron strikes me as being very intense and, though he seems like a nice guy, I think he’s not fully thinking through real world implications. I think interracial relationships are different in the US compared to the UK. They are less common and probably attract far more comment and judgement.
I don’t know if Carlton is gay but he certainly revealed himself to be a nasty misogynist. His behaviour in Mexico was bizarre.
Jessica makes me sad. In the pods she seemed very stable and nice but ever since they left there it’s become clear that she’s actually very vulnerable. She seems to drink a lot and to have found the whole process very distressing. The way she hides behind her hair when she’s stressed I find quite difficult to watch.

Happysummer2020 · 20/02/2020 11:22

Carlton turned put to be a really nasty piece of work.

SabineSchmetterling · 20/02/2020 11:48

Yep. I was suspicious when he was explaining to camera that he wanted a wife now because women offer a softer side. It seemed like he decided that he wanted someone who would keep his house and raise his children rather than he was looking for his soulmate.
Once they got to Mexico it became clear that that was a massive red flag with his bizarre questions about whether she’d wear t-shirts telling other men to stay away from her. What a dick!

ThisIsItGotToChange · 20/02/2020 12:10

Does anyone know what time
The new episodes are released in the UK? I had a settee day planned hiding from the rain!

SabineSchmetterling · 20/02/2020 12:28

8am

bugbhaer · 20/02/2020 13:45

Am still on episode 6.
Instead of ending the relationship Jess is now firing reasons at Mark as to why the relationship might struggle. His little face is so confused.

OP posts:
SayNoToCarrots · 20/02/2020 13:53

Cameron was also previously in a five year relationship with a black woman, so he has already gone through all of this.

Horehound · 20/02/2020 15:59

Carlton is horrible. I've not seen the argument yet just when he tells her he has been in relationships with men before.
But what I don't understand is why it's such a "thing" that he just has to tell her etc because surely if he wants to get married to a woman that's it? I'm not sure why his sexuality would be an issue going forward unless he wanted to have an open relationship Confused

Horehound · 20/02/2020 16:08

Oh yes and Jessica dies speak with a baby voice but then on any times speaking to the camera she's Mrs business. Doesn't wash with me.
Also she is drinking all the time. She just seems damaged really
