Eoin I started watching that clip but one guy looks likes about to throw up so I stopped.....

Am v squeamish!

Still think that episode was amazing. Now I reckon next week we are due a sad one.....! Rewatched Zanzibar just now. Amazing work.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 12/02/2020 19:55

Haha, he doesn't actually throw up. He has a peanut allergy and David and Maureen have tried to poison him by crushing peanuts into his dessert, but instead of going into anaphylaxis, he just suffers terrible bowel distress.

I've seen the synopsis for next week, and I don't think we're getting a light hearted one yet! Mind you, I didn't find this week especially scary or dark because of previous familiarity with the characters.

Seetheprettysnowdrops · 12/02/2020 20:04

I think if I'd known the characters I wouldn't have been so scared.

In paychoville has he killed his mother ?

AutumnRose1 · 12/02/2020 20:14

Eoin thanks

Snowdrops I don’t know the characters but just found it hilarious! The only thing that scared me was that I switched a light off in here, the flat, literally the same millisecond as the blender started up on TV! 😂

AutumnRose1 · 12/02/2020 20:19

This is my go to cheer up clip now

AutumnRose1 · 12/02/2020 20:21

LinesmanMinnelli brilliant 😂

GlennBulb · 12/02/2020 21:20

@AutumnRose I think I love you! You're simply the best!

Looloobettyboo · 12/02/2020 21:45

Whats the story for next week?

AutumnRose1 · 12/02/2020 21:45

Glenn 😂

Look at how Reece points his toes!

I want to meet them now.

(I mean Reece and Steve, not David and Maureen)

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2020 21:45

Love this it never seen psychoville so some jokes may have gone over my head

AutumnRose1 · 12/02/2020 21:49

If there was any more to laugh in that, I’m well impressed!

Do they dance in Pyschoville?

Bluewavescrashing · 13/02/2020 06:41

I am re watching series 1-4. Last night I slept with the light on after The Harrowing 😱

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 13/02/2020 09:08

Maureen dies of cancer in Psychoville (and her deathbed scene with the John Donne joke was lifted from that), but between them they kill a lot of other people. The Superman dance is their "thing"! The song is played at her funeral as the coffin goes through the little doors.

Incidentally, Mr Jelly the clown is also a major character.

AutumnRose1 · 13/02/2020 09:40

It seems like the episode is more fun if you don’t know Pyschoville.

Crockof · 13/02/2020 10:07

I'm not sure, I loved it because I already knew the characters, and because it made me feel like I was in on it, spotting the links and seeing Mr Jelly was so funny because he wasn't just a clown that had been booked he was the wrong clown.

AutumnRose1 · 13/02/2020 10:39

Crock that's good.

I will watch Psychoville if it comes back round, but I will be reading spoilers so I can avoid any gross out moments.

Twinklebinkletoes · 13/02/2020 14:44

I’ve not watched Pyschoville, was the latest episode linked to that? If so then maybe I missed a few things, but I really didn’t like the latest one. I thought it had masses of potential but just went a bit silly.

I did enjoy seeing Papa Lazarou on the lamp shade in the background of the death bed scene though Grin

Seetheprettysnowdrops · 13/02/2020 19:47

As a relative latecomer to the joy of Inside Number 9, I found the companion podcast.

They said that they hide an ornamental hare in every episode

Guess what I'll be doing tonight

DesdamonasHandkerchief · 13/02/2020 19:57

Yes Seethe I read that on their Wiki entry. Next time I watch I'm going to look for the hare. I'm assuming it was the one that was used to bludgeon in the episode where they clear the hoarders house!

AutumnRose1 · 13/02/2020 22:08

Oh is the podcast interesting generally?

My list of things to read/watch/listen to is v long!

TheGriffle · 13/02/2020 22:29

I’ve just caught up. They are fantastic, fantastic writers. Loved both episodes.

Seetheprettysnowdrops · 13/02/2020 22:46

Podcast is great. Just two episodes so far, but it's the two of them who do it, so it's entertaining and informative. It's on BBC Sounds

HandsOffMyLangCleg · 13/02/2020 22:49

Just caught up.

A real good treat (sorry, can't help LoG reference) to see some of the Psychoville cast in this excellent episode.

HandsOffMyLangCleg · 13/02/2020 22:49

Characters, not cast!

HandsOffMyLangCleg · 13/02/2020 22:52

They said that they hide an ornamental hare in every episode

Ooh I spotted the hare on the mantlepiece. And wasn't that a Papa Lazarou bedside lamp too?

Sleep tight..
