Used to be on Channel 4 on a Friday night. Just recently read it is 21 years old! Other than making me feel old I have been revisiting on All 4, and I still love it - reminds me of my days during and post uni.

Just watched the clubbing episode - my favourite one!

@deplorabelle. I must have changed at king’s cross Smile

Lolly86 · 22/01/2020 08:17

Love Spaced!

Haworthia · 22/01/2020 08:22

I don’t think I could watch it again, because it would make me feel too old, but I loved it (and Black Books... and Green Wing... those were the days).

Still like to say:

“Not finished!

...

...

Finished!”

My fav is when daisy is chasing the dogs to the rhubarb and custard theme tune. My favourite show ever!

elQuintoConyo · 22/01/2020 08:40

Daisy's interview where she 's for the Magic Roundabout theme time running through her head - totally me when someone is t talking to me like an adult Grin

" Ooh, Timewarp! "

GrinGrin

I have the bixset, I shall re -watch this weekend.

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 22/01/2020 08:43

Love Spaced. Was a bit too young when it first aired to fully appreciate it but watched it again in 02 and got it. Have the box set. Also a huge fan of Black Books and Green Wing.

Whenever crossing the road I still feel like Tyres post raving. Me and my ex will still occasionally text each other quotes.

weebarra · 22/01/2020 08:47

I loved it (and Black Books). There's a great article in the Guardian this week interviewing some of the cast.

StormBaby · 22/01/2020 09:34

I'm going to have to rewatch it. Also, the actress who plays Daisy is one of my absolute favs. I met her once and she just exuded light and she is utterly beautiful because of it. Can't really explain it!

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 22/01/2020 09:48

I love it and Black Books. Watched a few episodes a couple of weeks ago and it’s still great. So very quotable! I often say “You Lando!” and “Get off me, you bummer” to DP, although the latter can’t really be said in public 😂
My favourite eps (partially because of the chameos) are the robot wars one and the one where Daisy comes back from ‘finding herself’
“The Phantom Menace?” “Yes” “Didn’t you like it” “...No”

superoz · 22/01/2020 09:51

Heard they did a screening at the BFI and Q&A with most of the cast a few days ago:

Julia Deakin who was Marsha looks fab!

Loved Spaced and Green Wing and St Elsewhere. Hated Black Books

7Days · 22/01/2020 09:58

I loved Spaced.
Me and DH growl about these Fuckin Mood Seings whenever we get grumpy

cheesenpickles · 22/01/2020 12:26

I'm both a card carrying fan of both Spaced and Black Books. Lonely solider, co-ordinates? BOOKSHOP!

LaneBoy · 22/01/2020 12:33

I ate all your bees! :o

cheesenpickles · 22/01/2020 13:03

"They all drink lemonade. The end!"

YouLando · 22/01/2020 18:59

One of the best ever comedies! I love all the references to films etc. The bit in the job centre where the adviser asks him why he was sacked - "was it The Phantom Menace?" 😂
The episode with the pretend fight with the teenagers is just genius. And the Matrix one... and all of it really.

thenightsky · 22/01/2020 20:27

We started watching the very first episode just after midnight on New Year's Eve last year. We had a house full of people. We ended up watching the whole first series and going to be after 3am Grin. Every time an episode finished, everyone shouted 'ANOTHER ONE'! Its timeless.

FruityWidow · 22/01/2020 22:45

StormBaby - I used to go to the Cross back in the day. Spaced was one of the few comedies to get the rave scene right; and coming back from a rave - Tyres dancing to the kettle boiling Grin

StormBaby · 24/01/2020 07:48

@ManilaVanilla we ended up watching this episode again last night. The memories of that club! Wish it was still there.

Colinthedog · 24/01/2020 10:02

You’ve all inspired me to start watching it again too. It’s as good as I remember, just perfect!

RuffleCrow · 24/01/2020 10:07

Such a great show. Still love Jessica Hynes and Simon Pegg in most things. Marsha is my favourite character. I want to be her when i grow up.

"Just popping down to Threshers to do the weekly shop!"

Glittercandle · 24/01/2020 10:07
