Old thread almost full! Loving this series so far.

They really do need to vet these contestants a bit better.

Mike and Leanne are current faves to win, but I suspect cos there's no other couple as such yet. They seem very dull, like they've settled too quickly.

It's highly unlikely that any of these kids will go back to their former professions (unless they're particularly unsuccessful on LI).

It's unfair to single Mike out for not being really being a police officer when it was clearly his job before he left for the villa. He joined the police force in 2017 so even if it was in the December of that year, he was an officer for at least 2 years.

Because I've nothing better to do with my time, my research tells me Mike was an officer for almost 3 years, he resigned in December 2019 and the allegation concerns driving without a licence.

Resigning in December fits with leaving to start the show. The media are just looking for a way to stir stuff up.

I was just watching Unseen Bits from last night.

You really get to see so much more on this show dont you. Even just seeing Connor having a laugh, hes not just actually sitting there glaring and stalking Sophie 24/7 😂

I never watch unseen bits. I guess they have an angle they want to push in the regular show.

The unseen bits are better IMO, much more normal day to day activity, less “can I pull you for a chat” rubbish

There need to be far less filler and more about the daily goings on in the villa for me have a hope in hell of getting into this series.
So far worst first week of love Island ever.
And let's be honest it's been a bit rubbish since series 3.
Even seen a little bit of the unsceen stuff there's so many montages with nothing actually happening.
Do we really want to see like 30-second shots of the villa constantly.

When you hear them say why is your head out or can I ask you for a chat or what are you thinking you know that 10-minutes previously they've been told to say that.
Why can't we just listen to them speak normally.
Even the truth or dare game for staged.
Treat them like puppets and they act like puppets.
I can't even mention the outside dates oh my god

I just watched the unseen bits from yesterday and quite enjoy it actually. You do get to see more of people but I think they could show more of this stuff during the week, rather than all the staged bits and rubbish challenged

I'm hoping the 'news' on Mike is a something out of nothing situation, and if I were his family I would be bloody fuming that GMP aren't doing anything to squash the false claims.
