It's on early February, I'm not sure if that's USA or the UK as well, but I think we usually get it shortly after.
Can't wait for Carries crying face to be back on my screen 😣😟

Stupid question alert - has Saul been kidnapped by this guy before? When he said he'd rather die than be taken again in the last series set in Afghanistan?

StSaulOfSnacks · 23/02/2020 23:04

Can't remember Haquaani. Sigh. Sighing also at the memory of The Americans. Loved that.

colouringinpro · 23/02/2020 23:05

yikes!

Wallabyone · 24/02/2020 00:14

The end scene was oddly hilarious, when Saul smiled and said 'thank god, you're alive!' And the Taliban man must have been thinking 'are you taking the piss Saul? I could have sworn it was you who just tried to have me killed!' 🙈

Cocolapew · 24/02/2020 12:37

Saul and Dar made some sort of deal with Haquanni before.
I think the bar was for all foreign workers.

Yes I remember haqaani driving through crowded streets being cheered and Dar was in the car with him. Back when weasel boy quinn was still in action.

Last time Saul was in haqaani’s care he was chained to a radiator and had to suffer through listening to haqaani shag his wife! One of haqaani sons also threw a shoe at Saul and haqaani berated him for it.

I have a tiny gripe about last night. Carrie spotting the blue outfit in the wardrobe. Carrie said samira barely wears a headscarf so why would she have the religious dress. Which is a good point. So are we to believe that samira would buy the outfit just to store a USB in the hem of it? Hardly. She’d just see the USB into something she already owned. I realise it was so we would see how astute and switched on Carrie still is but she easily could’ve just found the dress by looking through the wardrobe and searching linings/gems. She obviously already knows that’s a common hiding place so why hasn’t she already looked?

Rant over now! Grin

Bobbybobbins · 24/02/2020 17:02

Also - is Dar Adal still in prison? What happened to him?

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 24/02/2020 17:12

Yep still in prison.

Hassled · 24/02/2020 22:03

Haqanni's back!
Just when I think I'm starting to lose the Homeland love, it pulls me back in. Basically I'm Michael Corleone.
I'd forgotten all about Salieri/Dar Adal.
Saul is so damned good at getting himself kidnapped - is this the 4th time? I wonder what his life insurance premiums are like.
And I'm loving Chandler Bing's new role as a good luck charm for the armed services.

Lweji · 24/02/2020 23:45

Saul was really pushing it this time.
It was either going to be the Taliban or ISIS. If not the government.

lalafafa · 25/02/2020 00:13

Tall Russian said he left the note for Carrie alerting her to the fake job interviewee. Is everything that happened after a big set up by the Russians and Pakistanis?

Lweji · 25/02/2020 00:40

Could be.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 25/02/2020 11:55

So we know yevgeny is an old hat at planting women as spies. Why on earth would he think Carrie would trust him giving her Samiras name? In carries shoes I’d immediately think samira was his plant.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 25/02/2020 11:56

Shock maybe he has turned Carrie and she is his plant without her even knowing it?? Oooh I like that thought.

SinglePringle · 25/02/2020 12:00

I too think Carrie has been turned without knowing.

SinglePringle · 25/02/2020 12:01

It would be a great way to bookend the entire series.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 25/02/2020 12:04

It would. Great Brody parallel.

Hassled · 25/02/2020 20:10

That would be a great way for the season to go out, but what I really want is Carrie happy and settled with Frannie somewhere peaceful, baking cookies. Not hanging from a crane. Oh god, she's going to end up hanging from a crane, isn't she?

Here's a really good piece in the Guardian about Homeland and its ability to foreshadow world events.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 25/02/2020 20:45

Oh I hope she doesn’t end up on a crane! Shock I honestly can’t see her happy baking cookies with Frannie though Grin I don’t think Carrie can work at that slow pace.

EachandEveryone · 25/02/2020 22:12

I liked the look of that underground bar I bet you can smoke fags and everything.

Cocolapew · 26/02/2020 13:16

I think she's going to die. Probably by the hand of Saul 😉

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 26/02/2020 15:12

Grin coco. And he’ll walk away Scot free.

Lweji · 26/02/2020 15:15

There's only one ending and it's to become head of the CIA of course. Wink
