I’ll start: Years and Years (bbc)..bloody brilliant, thought provoking.

Mum - just beautiful

ageingdisgracefully · 06/01/2020 16:21

Line of Duty. Not so good this year, but still the best thing on the box.

I wasn't particularly impressed with Chernobyl. Don't know why - perhaps over-hyped.

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 06/01/2020 16:27

Dark - by a million years. I was bereft after we’d powered through the episodes.

Peaky Blinders
Top Boy
The Witcher
Mum
Living with Myself
Game of thrones - but seeing it more as a complete piece of work ;)
I want to say Line of Duty because I was SO looking forward to it but it didn’t deliver.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 06/01/2020 16:57

Actually Motherland I need to add too...bloody brilliant comedy, roll on series 3

I must say I do enjoy a predinner travel show and I thought rick steins france was very easy to watch.
Hoping the trip is coming back in 2020

SusieMyerson · 09/01/2020 18:29

The marvellous mrs maisel and castle rock.

SusieMyerson · 09/01/2020 18:30

Oh and Dark. Amazing.

Whatthefunk · 09/01/2020 20:20

Ozark was amazing! And to the poster who mentioned season 3, it's coming in March!Smile

Trewser · 09/01/2020 20:21

Chernobyl

DrivingMsCrazy · 09/01/2020 21:13

Didn't watch much last year but Chernobyl was outstandingly good. I see a lot of other people have agreed so will take a look at their lists to see what else is worth a watch!

TSSDNCOP · 09/01/2020 21:14

Chernobyl
The Crown
Derry Girls

iklboo · 09/01/2020 21:16

Another vote for Chernobyl

upaladderagain · 09/01/2020 21:33

Giri/Haji, followed by Fleabag, especially the first episode.

upaladderagain · 09/01/2020 21:34

Oh and Sex Education. Hilarious.

PloptheBarnOwl · 09/01/2020 21:55

Another vote for Years and Years. The ending was crap, but I think about the programme most days, because so much of the dystopian aspect is coming true. It was so well done, and so clever, and the acting was brilliant.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 09/01/2020 22:14

PloptheBarnOwl totally agree it’s as if that program left a mark on me- it was genius and terrifying in equal measure

Mafia Only Kill in Summer, All 4.

BentNeckLady · 09/01/2020 22:19

Ghosts was wonderful, I’m glad someone mentioned it as it wouldn’t have been an obvious choice for me but it was really fantastic tv!

Chernobyl
Vikings
The 100

HandsOffMyRights · 09/01/2020 22:20

I watch a lot of TV....Blush

Chernobyl stood out by a mile.

In fact, that opening episode was the most outstanding piece of TV I've watched in a long time. Possibly ever.

Trewser · 09/01/2020 22:22

Yes I also watch a lot of tv and agree about Chernobyl. The episode where they had to clear the roof was just masterful.

I haven't seen giri/haji yet but that is supposed to be good.

TitchyP · 09/01/2020 22:22

Mum

Followed by:
After Life
Stranger Things
Orange is the new black (a bit late to the party on that one!)
The Crown
This is Us

baggies · 09/01/2020 22:39

Binge watched all series of How to get away with Murder- late to the game I know! Brilliant though.
Line of Duty agree ending was poor
Capture love love loved it!

bagelbaby · 09/01/2020 22:43

Upright (Tim Minchin's funny and sad series)
Years and Years - still haunts me

Florence08 · 09/01/2020 22:51

Spiral - so well written. Love Laure and Gilou
