So, after all those years of watching wannabes trying to become somebodies, Simon has decided the way to go is to basically take a bunch of celebs and see if they can sing.

I've a feeling we've seen something like this before.

Tonight's auditions are in Malibu, and the first bunch of celebs are

Journalist, Martin Bashir, Quiz show champion, Jenny Ryan (is she off the Chase? )and Model and Actress, Hayley Hasselhoff.

Glee Actor, Kevin McHale, The Islanders, made up of former Love Island contestants Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker; and Social Media Stars and CBBC Presenters Max and Harvey.

Another group act 'Try Star' - rugby stars Ben Foden, Thom Evans and Levi Davis - and Professional dancer, Brendan Cole and actor, Jeremy Edwards who form Cole and Edwards.

I am not sure I know who most of these people are. But I don't watch Love Island. Maybe it is stretching the 'Celebrity' label a bit

I'll still get sucked in to watching , probably.

I've got vodka. If all else fails .

I think she missed out half of it (or we would have been her til Christmas)- thus making the storytelling element moot.

I cannot drink vodka and that bad episode was years and years ago. I still have nightmares about it.

Jane I think so, yes.

80's I think that I am the last generation where you could get shitfaced and do some seriously dumb stuff, without it being immortalised online/ on a phone. Whilst phones had started having cameras, the quality was that of a photo taken with a brick. And I am seriously grateful for that.

Martini is bizarrely the one drink that I could never look at again, after a party when I was 16. The last thing I remember is my friend and I running at each other with motorbike helmets on. Never. Again
