Didn't see a thread for this new programme.

Is anybody watching it?

I like all the mums at the moment but Charlie is really grating already. She needs to grow up so much. It's not about her anymore. Brett is clearly doing his best. Trying to save money for them and the baby and she just throws it in his face. "We live a boring life" welcome to motherhood. "You worry all the time about money" welcome to adulthood 🙄. Seriously winds me up. "You don't put Instagram posts up about me anymore" 🤦🏻‍♀️ Jesus.

Just started watching it. I think Brett and Charlie will split up, and the lesbian couple. All four are too immature.

Feel really sorry for the girl with the terminally ill mum - I wonder what's going on with the dad of the twins.

Contraceptionismyfriend · 03/10/2019 17:05

I'm watching it!

What a bloody car crash.
Of course Brett is panicking about money!

MotherOfLittlePeople · 03/10/2019 17:36

@LiterallyCantBelieveIt oh yeah defiantly. The way Morgan is about Laura's (think that's her name) mother, I don't think they will last. By looking at next weeks they have fallen out again after she helped them rent wise when she lost her job.

Charlie is going to get a massive shock I think when she has the baby. I can't believe her mother telling her to show him she wasn't going to let him be like that or tell her what to do (whatever she said🙄). He's trying to be responsible.

Don't think Charlottes baby's dad is in the picture. I think she's doing amazing though for 16 years old and twins, as well as her mum been ill.

@Contraceptionismyfriend yes it is like a car crash. I give them a few months.

They seem really really immature in a way that's unlike other series of this or the original one.
There doesn't seem to be much growing up, other than Charlotte with her twins

ReturnofSaturn · 06/10/2019 12:48

Really feel for the poor young girl with the twins and her mum dying. Tough times for her ahead.

The lesbian couple....well what can I say...how utterly stupid and immature of them to put themselves in this whole situation.

MotherOfLittlePeople · 06/10/2019 17:15

I know and I don't think they will last either.

I can't wait to watch the next one to see how Charlotte is Doing though.

OP posts:
emilyzbx · 06/10/2019 22:17

Charlotte, will be a good mum and it's quite bittersweet to see her situation. I'm rooting for her!

Alisha.. she is harmless, good intentions

Charlie - in for the shock of her life, Brett is sensible.

Morgan and Laura - can't think now which is which. But the one who gave birth is going to be fed up of her partner soon enough, oh yep Morgan! Morgan appears controlling and Laura is going to have the mother instincts that she won't want to "share"

Contraceptionismyfriend · 06/10/2019 22:34

I've been thinking. They both don't appear to be the sharpest tools in the box. As seen by getting sperm off Facebook.

Is Morgan the Legal parent of the baby?
Could the father rock up (thinking with the potential fame) and claim visitation as I doubt they have a signed legal contract.

MotherOfLittlePeople · 07/10/2019 06:43

@Contraceptionismyfriend yes I was wondering if she is on the birth certificate etc. If they split up would she have any rights?

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 09/10/2019 20:58

Im watching tonight's at the moment.
Charlie is very annoying. So immature, koaning about her baby shower and how she has to have the best one etc etc. Kid, just be happy people care enough about you to go to the effort. Moaning about there being food she won't like too - fair enough if the ONLY food there is food you hate, but if it's just one or two things you don't like, maybe you should pull your head out of your arse long enough to realise the world does not revolve around you. I cringed watching her and her mum bitching about Brett's mum...she is going to see that, how lovely for her!
Charlotte is lovely. I feel for her with her mum being so poorly but she's doing really well with the girls.
Alisha seems nice and like she wants to do things well. I agree Umair seems like he might be quite hands off which could be a cultural thing. There's some weird feelings between her and her mum too which I know have something to do with Umair but seems a shame. Maybe once the baby arrives we will see her mum being more involved?
Laura and Morgan - I feel very uncomfortable watching the 2 of them. Very unstable as Morgan seems to be in and out of work and just generally a bit off. Buying sperm off facebook doesn't scream responsible either, like someone upthread mentioned. Laura's mum seems to bring a bit if an atmosphere but I suppose none of us have seen the run up to the filming and also I agree about Morgan seeming controlling so that could well feed into it.

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 09/10/2019 20:59

Oh and also totally personal opinion I know but I HATE the name Kingsley 😬

beepbeeprichie · 09/10/2019 21:14

Name Kingsley is horrendous imho. Awful name. Also the baby looks very jaundice in this episode.
Morgan is horribly controlling. It’s uncomfortable to watch.

x2boys · 09/10/2019 21:25

Yeah Morgan is horrible ,the whole conception seems ill thought out ,I know she' birth certificate now ,but if it was going to be an issue why didn't they wait to conceive before they were married can't stand Charlie she's so immature ,particularly about the salmon ,she had never tried salmon but didn't like it Hmmshe sounds like my 12 year old! she needs to grow up ,Alisha and Umair are growing on me ,and poor Charlotte Sad Whats her mum's illness ?they have been quite vague about it

MotherOfLittlePeople · 10/10/2019 07:23

Not sure on her mums illness they haven't really said. I missed last nights so will catch up today but have seen the clip about the baby shower. Feel sorry for bretts mum as well in all this, they are both trying their best.

Which channel is this on?

MotherOfLittlePeople · 10/10/2019 08:08

@namechangedforthis1980 it's on mtv

MotherOfLittlePeople · 10/10/2019 17:07

They mentioned during last nights episode that charlottes mum had previously had two round of chemo I think they said. Feel so sorry for her.

Also felt sorry for Aishas (think that's her name) mum for not been able to stay while she had her baby.

The other two girls just really annoy me. Laura seems to do everything to please Morgan and Charlie is just down right horrible, hormones or not she's ungrateful and rude.

OP posts:
Lap1nkla · 10/10/2019 17:47

So glad I saw this feed thought it was only me who felt uncomfortable watching Laura and Morgan. She is so controlling and poor Laura’s mum just has to sit by and watch.
Charlotte is doing so well given the horrible situations definitely well up when I think of the worst for her Sad

timshelthechoice · 10/10/2019 17:52

Poor babies. Our next door neighbour's daughter had a baby at 15. The grandmother is pretty much bringing up that baby. I'm so glad I wasn't born to immature silly bams like this.

SallyCinnamon3009 · 10/10/2019 18:02

Laura seems to live in a bit of a fantasy world to be honest. Buying sperm off Facebook etc. I think Labour was a lot harder than she ever imagined too Charlie is really grating on me but I love Brett. I really like Umair and Alisha and it's really nice to see an Asian family represented on one of these programmes. Would love to know whatUmair does as a job as he was talking about retiring by 30!

Love Charlotte and her mum! I think they are by far mine and everyone else's favourites so far

lilbumblebee · 10/10/2019 18:11

Cannot take to Morgan at all. Think she's quite controlling and you can tell she really doesn't like Laura's mum so whatever Laura's mum says she has a grievance against it.

Charlie is immature for her age, I thought maybe I'd take to her after a couple of episodes but still grates on me. Think to be honest she just likes to moan.

Alisha and her husband seem lovely, I did feel sorry for the mum though when she couldn't stay for the birth.

Charlotte has my complete and utter respect, dealing with twins as a single as well a terminally ill mum must be very hard. She's taken to motherhood really well and seems to have good family support.

EsmeeMerlin · 10/10/2019 18:20

I love Charlotte, she is just a very sweet girl and trying her best to cope with twins while her mum is dying. I love the relationship she has with her family.

I quite like Laura and Morgan. I don’t know if laura’s Mum takes their relationship seriously and perhaps that’s why Morgan seems to get irritated by her quickly.

I like Alisha and her husband, they seem happy together.

I like Brett and his mum. His mum always seems very good to Charlie. When ever Brett has spoken to her, she told him to buy Charlie something nice and to try and be patient and to see her side. She gives him good advice. Unlike Charlie’s mum who seems always quick to tell Charlie how right she is. Made me cringe Charlie was slating the baby shower and her mum did not pull her up on it. Charlie just grates on me, we are all grumpier during some stages of pregnancy but god she whinges and moans. A very immature girl.

GloriaMaximus · 10/10/2019 18:33

I'm interested to see next week..looks like charlottes twins dad is in it!
She's a little dopey but oh so sweet. I'm strangely proud of her for facing up to her mums illness. Her sister seems like she will step up when her mum passes.

LolaSmiles · 10/10/2019 18:39

I think Charlotte is lovely and such a grounded girl.
I also love Brett. It's nice to see a guy stepping up. Charlie needs a grip to me. Who whines about not having gushing Instagram posts when a guy is trying to be financially responsible for his child?
