Didn't see a thread for this new programme.

Is anybody watching it?

I like all the mums at the moment but Charlie is really grating already. She needs to grow up so much. It's not about her anymore. Brett is clearly doing his best. Trying to save money for them and the baby and she just throws it in his face. "We live a boring life" welcome to motherhood. "You worry all the time about money" welcome to adulthood 🙄. Seriously winds me up. "You don't put Instagram posts up about me anymore" 🤦🏻‍♀️ Jesus.

I think Charlotte is an incredibly mature, positive young lady who is coping extremely well with such a difficult situation. I think many people find twins exhausting, let alone only being 17 with no partner. Her mother is a strong woman who is doing a great job at supporting them all. Charlie needs to grow up a lot. I think she is going to have shock when she realises motherhood isn't all rainbows. At the same time Brett needs to stop being so tight. Alisha seems like a nice girl, but is in for a reality shock!

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I feel for Morgan. I think Lauras mum is too much and needs to leave them to it a bit. I think everyone would feel different about morgan and lauras mother if they weren't so young. I know I'd hate it if my mother in law was round all the time and didn't give us space. They are adults at the end of the day and they are married.

LutherRalph1 · 11/10/2019 10:20

I'm finally caught up - wanted to watch as Charlotte is from the same town as me ( I knew the friend who went to visit her) so pleased she seems to be doing well

Think Charlie is a bit of hard work. Appreciate she's heavily pregnant but she is very childish and ungrateful but she appears to have realized that now

I do like Alisha but it seems like the couple don't have a clue. From what has been shown ( obviously not their entire life) but they could have been getting important stuff like nappies earlier than a week before!

MotherOfLittlePeople · 12/10/2019 15:10

I don't think (from what we have seen) Laura's mum is too involved. She maybe doesn't take them seriously seen as this is her first girlfriend and they've got married quickly and bought sperm of Facebook. Not sure what made them do that? How did they know it was safe?
Looking at next weeks clips Morgan isn't happy.

I hope if that's Charlottes twins dad he isn't in and out their lives. She has enough going on with out the stress of all that. I've started following Charlotte on Instagram and she seems to be doing really well still. It's nice to see.

@MotherOfLittlePeople what's charlottes Instagram handle? I've tried looking for her but can't find her

LutherRalph1 · 13/10/2019 10:32

She's @charlotte_oconnorr

Contraceptionismyfriend · 15/10/2019 19:38

To be honest I can't take their relationship seriously so I have a lot of sympathy for her mum having to sit back and watch the car crash happen.

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 17/10/2019 07:25

Well. What did we think to last night??!!
Morgan and Laura - I understand that Morgan was probably quite stressed trying to do everything on her own, but demanding Laura brings the baby home NOW and then accusing her of being out gallivanting with her family....someone died!!! She was hardly out living it up was she. I found that all very uncomfortable to watch. It seems like they patch things up next week though.
Charlotte - she seemed so pleased to see the dad stepping up but it seems like that might already have gone tits up based on next week's preview too. I think it is the right thing to have let him try though, hopefully he does step up but I would be more surprised if he did than if he didn't sadly.
Alisha - I don't really know the back story here, but it seems she does everything with Umair's family and nothing with hers. I think that might breed resentment eventually. Having said that, his family seem like they're good to them both so it could be worse!
Charlie - she is immature, but I felt for her a bit this time. She did try with Brett. They're not a good couple though I don't think, i can't see this on lasting at all

MotherOfLittlePeople · 17/10/2019 09:10

@Namechangerextraordinaire1 not seen this weeks yet, will catch up later.

Alisha and her family have fallen out I think because she converted to her husband's religion. Think that's why things are a bit icy x

DryToast · 17/10/2019 10:33

Did you notice how Morgan said ‘she does things and leaves me out’. I understand Morgan was incredibly stressed and she’s trying to do her best for the family but her choice of words towards Laura are very unsettling.

Charlotte is the cutest person in the world. I love how she is so polite and says thank you at every opportunity. She’s adorable!

Contraceptionismyfriend · 17/10/2019 12:25

I'm minutes in now.
I love Alisha. But JFC did nobody ever tell her about safe sleep.

LutherRalph1 · 17/10/2019 18:17

@Contraceptionismyfriend I thought the same, I felt a bit panicky when she put the baby down to sleep

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 17/10/2019 19:10

@DryToast yeah I know, very off the way she says things. It's all very "I don't like you doing things without me" which is at the very least needy and at worst controlling. I don't think they're a good match at all, a case of far too much, far too young too.
@MotherOfLittlePeople yes I think I remember that now you mention it. Not a spoiler, but they had a family gathering and Alisha and Umair said it's s shame that her side of the family couldn't go to it, but it did sound like they wanted them to be involved still just the families can't stand to be in the same room.
@Contraceptionismyfriend god yeah, so many layers and blankets anywhere! I thought the same

MotherOfLittlePeople · 17/10/2019 21:27

I've just caught up, once again I think Charlotte is handling things brilliantly!

I think Laura and Morgan just aren't compatible. Morgan seems so controlling. Somebody in her family died! She had a right, moving or not to spend time with her family and take the baby. Morgan maybe feels like the baby isn't really hers so is worried she may lose both of them if they split up, even though she's on the birth certificate? It annoys me the way she speaks about Laura's mother, that would be a big no for me.

I felt sorry alishas family didn't go to the party, she must be finding it very difficult but her husband seems very supportive and so do his family.

Charlie and Brett again... I mean waiting 20 minutes would maybe annoy me a bit but the fact that he was talking to his boss about work can't be helped. I don't think it matters how many times she 'treats him' she's always treating him like sh*t. Be interesting to see how she is once the baby is here. I did feel for her though when she was saying about not having any friends. I could completely understand why she was so upset.

DryToast · 18/10/2019 00:28

100% agree with Laura and Morgan. I keep forgetting Morgan is also young and immature but the relationship still bothers me though. I can imagine they jumped in very quickly and although (allegedly) Laura asked Morgan to marry her, I can imagine Morgan dropping conditional hints e.g ‘oh I’d believe you loved me IF we were married’ but I might be completely wrong. Everything just seems low key threatening with it.

Charlie and Bret are still children and are going to struggle massively. I found Charlie on Instagram and the baby just seems to be dressed up constantly like a little doll and Bret has added ‘official’ to his name which I found hilarious 😂
Bless them.

I follow the TMUK page on Facebook and when the first (or second- can’t remember) episode aired the page put up the ‘first look’ conversation with Umir and Alisha talking about retirement and Alisha going back to college. Umir said he was going to retire by the time he was 30 (?!) all the comments were like ‘What does he do for work?!’ and the actual Alisha commented ‘wait and see 😊’ underneath it but the comment has since been removed.
Do we have any idea what he does that would enable him to retire at 30 as I would also like to doing something similar... 😂

Crabonastick · 18/10/2019 20:50

I binged this yesterday when I was poorly and in bed

Charlotte- love her. She is adorable and so well mannered. I really feel for her with that she is going through with her mum. She was brave to let the dad see the children and I think it’s for the best she does this sooner rather than later, to see if he will actually step up. My favourite by far

Alesha- I would like to see more of these two due to the family circumstances. Alesha converted to Muslim from Sikh which is the cause of the family fall out. Umair’s family seem wonderful and supportive so I assume the tension is more from her families side. It must be very upsetting for Alesha. I could not imagine ever treating my daughter like her mum treats her. It makes me feel like the mum is putting her religious/image in the community first.

Laura and Morgon- this has divorce written all over it and the sooner the better. The way they see arguing with Morton’s niece on her lap was uncomfortable as I can just see that being the baby in a few years. Morgon seems like she has emotionally abusive traits and I can see this escalating- agree with a PP that it could be insecurity due to the baby not being biologically hers

Charlie and Brett- where to begin? Charlie is awful. Brett is the more mature of the two, but in a little boy trying to play grown up way. I think he’s a knob for being so tight (the kettle argument rather than being shocked at how much a restaurant charges) and the 20 minutes getting changed for dinner (if it was work can’t be helped) but I admire that he seems like a very young boy who is working (what does he do?) and taking his responsibilities seriously. Charlie is just awful, such hard work and such a diva, she needs to get off her phone and stop whinging and being horrible

Ellabella989 · 24/10/2019 12:44

Morgan is absolutely vile! Such a controlling, abusive. nasty piece of work.

Charlie is clearly a deeply unhappy person and takes it all out on Brett.

Virgo1958 · 24/10/2019 12:59

Morgan and Laura's relationship is toxic, bringing a baby into it is a disaster. Charlotte - lovely, Alisha - Lovely, don't like her mum, Charlie grow up, Brett deserves better.

DryToast · 24/10/2019 14:37

Just watching now. Morgan is vile. She’s the kind of person that I can imagine will use her mental health issues as an excuse for manipulative and abusive behaviour. She’s constantly making Laura feel bad about herself and the ‘I don’t want to share you anymore’ comment made my skin crawl. I don’t think Laura is strong enough to break free though. It must kill her mum having to watch her daughter in that situation.

Charlottes family are amazing. They’re so strong. Her sister seems really lovely.

Charlie is always shouting. She’s a proper donny bird 😂
I can’t cope with her.

That’s all I’ve got up to so far...

Ginandgingers92 · 26/10/2019 08:37

Just watching the most recent one now, Morgan is horrendously controlling. I really feel for Laura.

And Charlie winds me up so much..."I'm beginning to think that being a Mum might even be harder than being pregnant"... give me strength!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Brett needs a medal IMHO

Virgo1958 · 26/10/2019 11:33

What's a Donny bird?

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 26/10/2019 12:43

Virgo I think it's short for Doncaster girl!

@DryToast what's Charlie's instagram please, I want to be nosey!

Morgan reminded me of my horrible ex on this week's show, he wouldn't speak to me for the rest of the day if I dared to go out for the day with my mum. I'd be so nervous coming home to see whether I was going to be shouted at or given the silent treatment. Laura needs to get out

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 26/10/2019 12:47

Oh it's ok, ive found her instagram now 😊

DryToast · 26/10/2019 12:53

Have you looked on Laura’s Instagram? By the looks of it, her and Morgan are still together despite all the arguments and manipulation.
I really hope they do a Dr Drew type end of season special as I’d like to hear what the other girls think seeing her behaviour played back.

stucknoue · 26/10/2019 13:22

I binged it yesterday (trying not to think about ex visiting his lady friend, trash tv is a great distraction) I just couldn't help thinking how hard their lives will be and their poor kids are likely to be so disadvantaged. There's always exceptions, amazing teen mums, but many of these seem to want to be insta famous. I have teen daughters who thankfully see that education and a career is the way forward. Still good tv, but at who's expense?

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 26/10/2019 15:56

Definitely looks like they're still together. And charlie and brett which I was surprised to see
