Nice to see Anton getting to dance.

Honey has marvellous pins!!

Oooooh Shurl - say it how it is girl. Eeeee.

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 21/09/2019 21:13

Shirley hates Emma 😂

derxa · 21/09/2019 21:13

Emma seems so lovely

ThursdayLastWeek · 21/09/2019 21:13

Also, why does Katie Radio Two get written out of Strictly History? They got to the damn final!

ilovesooty · 21/09/2019 21:14

It's a shame that she's learning from someone whose Latin is so inadequate.

Elderflower14 · 21/09/2019 21:14

I think she thought they were going to say she was amazing.... They didn't.

Wolfcub · 21/09/2019 21:15

Schaden can you use Strictly as an allegory in some way?

mogloveseggs · 21/09/2019 21:16

Ooh, what's with Shirley and Emma?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/09/2019 21:16

Depends on the readings for the Sunday mog

This week the Gospel is Luke 16 vs 1-13.

It is what is termed a "challenging" text - ie, no-one knows what it means. And that's what I'm telling them

GrouchyKiwi · 21/09/2019 21:17

To be fair, Anton never had to do that. He could have shown his partners more respect.

This was a great opening show. Lots of excellent dances. Should be a good year!

JumpyLiz · 21/09/2019 21:17

That was fun, if a tad long!

I'm off to rewatch Kelvin the Pelvis dance again. I might notice Oti in it this time 😂

See you next time all!

Stellaris22 · 21/09/2019 21:17

There were a lot of moments in that jive where I thought Emma out danced Anton! I hope this is his last year as I feel she has a lot more potential than she’ll get with Anton, his choreography is never interesting and he relies on props far too much.

However, a brilliant start to the series and i am full of excitement now.

NumbersStation · 21/09/2019 21:18

I loved Katieradiotwo as well. She made me cry. In a good way.

Did tess just say Joe Sook was doing the podcast?

It is Sugg you mugg.

Redcrayons · 21/09/2019 21:18

@Thursday - I wondered the same. Katie was only a couple of years ago.

Wizzbangpop · 21/09/2019 21:18

They’ve replaced pointless with it takes two for 3 months? Have I got that right

bookbook · 21/09/2019 21:19

right - can go back and read all the posts now!
See you next week
Good luck Schaden with the sermon !

mogloveseggs · 21/09/2019 21:19

schaden I'm intrigued-off to find my bible!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 21/09/2019 21:19

It was long, wasn't it? Good, but looooong.

mogloveseggs · 21/09/2019 21:20

Really enjoyed that! Can't wait for next week!

ThursdayLastWeek · 21/09/2019 21:20

I think it’s only a couple of weeks, but wouldn’t swear to it

The80sweregreat · 21/09/2019 21:21

I'm not happy that pointless has been moved to 4.30 pm and 'strictly it takes two ' with Zoe ball is on at 5.15 !
It seems a bit unfair!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/09/2019 21:22

Wolf - funny you should say that*. I was at one point thinking along the lines of talking about Strictly and the importance of keeping our frame in dancing, and the importance of keeping our moral frame in life.

But the analogy got very confused, somehow and I gave up on it. (I'd got onto working with and not fighting against others while maintaining our own integrity etc etc etc - it became very convoluted . . . )

To get back to the important thing Grin - the standard seems quite high this year for the first week.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/09/2019 21:23

Ooops - sorry Wolf - forgot my asterisk - I was going to add that you obviously have a natural bent for theology.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/09/2019 21:24

I've just realised that I must be watching on catch-up because I seem to be behind everyone else.

Bugger it!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/09/2019 21:28

mogloveseggs

The bit that causes problems is that both the steward's master (representing God in the allegory), and Jesus, seem to admire his lies and dishonesty. They don't obviously, but that's how it looks.
