Did anyone see the new Balamory today? The Bohemian Rhapsody moment in the middle of PC Plum's new song was downright bizarre! And was he trying to be Brian May on top of the Palace???

Errrm....I mean....not that I was watching it or anything....

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 29/10/2004 10:22

Did you see Suzy Sweet dressed as a pixie today? OMG - I'm going to be having nightmares for a week. The woman is scary enough as it is but ...

themoneyshot · 29/10/2004 11:56

Sorry, there'll be no Balamory wedding bells. In real life, Andrew Agnew, who plays PC Plum is gay and lives with a partner. He was in court recently giving evidence against a neighbour who assaulted him and his sister.

DillyDally · 29/10/2004 12:01

Perhaps Miss Hoolie will turn out to be secretly Australian and needs to marry Plum in order to settle down in Balamory legitimately and continue with her excellent nursery work? A gritty story line for them.

themoneyshot · 29/10/2004 12:03

Blimey Dilly, that'll be a better storyline than Karl and Izzy, she's so cheap tho hubby thinks she's got the best t*ts on the box

DillyDally · 29/10/2004 12:04

According to another website, neighbours bar will be blown up soon in a terrorist type bomb story line..not sure if Izzys t**ts will be affected.

DillyDally · 29/10/2004 12:06

Apologies, one asterisk too many makes it sound far worse than intended

Marina · 29/10/2004 12:09

They'll probably return to Ramsay Street on their own once they have recovered from memory loss etc Dillydally. They are considerably more talented than many of the actors currently in the series.
Oh, I so miss weekday daytime TV, all of it.
Does anyone know why we lost the original Josie Jump? I know about her balcony scandal

themoneyshot · 29/10/2004 12:20

Balcony scandal? What have I missed here? Pity about Izzy's boobs being unaffected. It might make "him" notice me a bit more...34b...life's so unfair!!!

Marina · 29/10/2004 12:22

They will be using a new location shot for Josie's balcony soon. This was after the owner of the current hotel was found to be telling little guests (through gritted teeth, I have some sympathy) who asked where Josie was today, that he had cut her up and put her under the patio . And then we see a new actress in the role! Where's PC Plum when we need him?

themoneyshot · 29/10/2004 12:27

There I was, thinking she'd had enough of jumping around in a knocked off Kill Bill outfit, and lobbed herself off the balcony

Crockster · 29/10/2004 16:21

Perhaps there should be a numsnet outing to where it is filmed? I have forgotten where this is but dh will remember, will ask him when he gets home.

WigWamBam · 29/10/2004 16:26

Tobermory, although the nursery is in Glascow, and Archie's castle is near Berwick on Tweed.

WigWamBam · 29/10/2004 16:26

Mean Glasgow, of course

Moomin · 31/10/2004 22:26

themoneyshot - wot a rude name you have!

themoneyshot · 01/11/2004 09:10

Rude? It refers to the accumulation of overwhelming evidence against an opponent. When our research is complete, and we know we can defeat a claimant or defendant, we call it the money shot as we know that this chambers will pick up a bonus payment on top of our fee. I suppose some people view lawyers/barristers as rude, amongst other things.

All I can say is I'm sorry you feel the way you do about the legal profession.

motherinferior · 01/11/2004 09:28

Am I the only person who much, much prefers the new Josie Jump to the appalling previous one?

Personally I thought the 'how romantic' episode should be subtitled 'Miss Hoolie is Plummy's Beard'. And that Balamory should grasp, so to speak, the bull by the horns and get a guest appearance from Brian Paddick.

Moomin · 01/11/2004 09:37

calm down dear...

it's also a phrase used to describe a certain part of special films for mummies and daddies who love each other very much...

our interests and experience obviously differ somewhat

themoneyshot · 01/11/2004 12:52

Indeed. I've looked up the term money shot on the net...time for a change of nickname I think. No wonder some of the junior members of staff found it highly amusing...time for a couple of sackings, I think. Just before Christmas should mend their naughty little ways.

MissusWoman · 01/11/2004 12:58

I must say I was a bit shocked at your name too!

motherinferior · 01/11/2004 12:59

I was impressed.

WigWamBam · 01/11/2004 14:18

I didn't have a clue about either meaning ...

Mum2girls · 01/11/2004 14:44

WWB - nor me...we're obviously the more genteel element of MN

WigWamBam · 01/11/2004 14:55

Genteel?

linniewith2 · 01/11/2004 15:44
