Do you secretly enjoy children's tv?

So I'm not at this stage yet of son watching many tv shows (he's 9 months and only watches 1 or 2 and not very often) but I've seen threads on here about how some of you hate certain TV shows. My question is do you secretly enjoy them/one?

Last night son was being a pain to settle so I took him into the living room (we live in a flat) while partner said he was going on Netflix (he had put son down for the night). So when son finally settled and fell asleep I put him in his cot. And partner was falling asleep so I went to go to the home page of Netflix but partner woke up and he asked what I was doing and he paused it and I saw he was watching pj masks. I asked him why he was watching it and he said he likes it.

He told me not to tell anyone because they would make fun of him.

So it turns out he enjoys pj masks.

I’m a huge fan of Hey Duggee and Ben & Holly. Having DGC has given me the perfect excuse to indulge my love for Pingu and Sooty too.

Ben and Holly at least has a fucking narrative but tbh I tend to tune out when it’s in or cook dinner.

My oldest is only just turning 5, but I have to say some of the programmes are a joy and hugely irritating in equal measure.

Great:
Hey dougie
My world kitchen
Do you know?
Dave Spud. It's disgusting, but quite funny.
Nina and the Neurons

Crap:
Topsy and Tim (this programme gives me the rage - I call it Robomum and Buffoon Dad)
Waffle Dog
The one with the tiny grandad and highly strung aunt in
My family

Basically any programmes that convey the "average" family but totally don't are awful. They are rammed full of stereotypes and there is always a subservient mother, a buffoon father and an eccentric auntie in there.

My family trys to portray a normal family and you go in to immaculate middle class homes. Never seen them go in to a tower block with a single mother or father once. Every episode I've seen, bar one family, all live in houses and have both parents at home with tons of free time to spend with their kids. Think it's a bit mean on the kids who have lost a parent and don't have the typical set up of both parents, siblings and a house and garden.

My son has got in to watching CITV and half the programmes are cartoons which make zero sense. Trying to slowly introduce CBBC as there seems to be more interesting stuff on there and it might save my sanity!
