Man I’m too invested in this still. I’m now following all the finalists on Instagram. Amber & Greg are in a hotel room together. I feel like after living with them for 8 weeks I need to know this information 😂

Apparently Francesca was snubbed from the recap on last nights final, I actually can't remember but interesting if age was.

More than anything, I wish Maura had coupled with Chris and not Curtis. Can we get a do-over?

So I applied for tickets to the reunion party and have got an email with two tickets... I thought they’d be super over subscribed and didn’t think I’d get them. I’m not even sure who to take.

I just read it and it says tickets are oversubscribed to account for no-shows so ticket does not guarantee entrance

So why would I drive all the way to sheets (from Yorkshire)

Anyway I do thinks Amber and Greg like each other but the way she talks it’s as if everything goes back to her experience with Michael and it makes Greg sound like a rebound

I commented on a previous thread but for some reason it was closed. I was absolutely convinced that Tommy & Molly Mae would win. Do like Amber & Greg though.
Hope Molly Mae can see what her Mum is like & stands up to her. Made me very uncomfortable to watch. Compare her interaction with Maura’s Mum, who came across as absolutely lovely. Maura was my favourite & I miss her already! LI withdrawal symptoms!

Maura's mum was absolutely lovely. A real mother. It is a real luck of the draw what kind of mum you get!
What I have realised as I have gotten older is we expect too much from our parents - we expect them to be godlike and never make mistakes when they are just hunan and fuck up alot like all of us. I have forgiven my own mum not as she is very old and I realise I only have a few years left with her. And now we are very close. I wish I hadn't spent 35+ years fighting her

@ThomasFurious @historysock I don’t think I want to go now that I know entry is not guaranteed. It’s a long way to go from here anyway but to either have to queue for hours (I’m not even sure how many hours would do it) or risk not getting in, I’m not sure it’s worth the trip. The ticket is not transferable and you need ID or I would send them to you.

I feel bad as I feel like I’m wasting the ticket but they say they have issued too many anyway. I wouldn’t have said I’d go if I knew entry wasn’t guaranteed. If I lived nearby it would be different.

No it would be a way to going you didn't even get in at the end! I wish I'd applied, its only half an hour or so for me!

Have you seen the reports that out of all the islanders, only 6 were selected from the general application process? The rest were found by the casting team or professional agents. We did suspect this but I'm disappointed with the proportion.

Obviously Curtis and Tommy were via their agents.

this series was the first time i'd ever seen it & it wasn't what I expected, seemed quite engineered but still hooked :-)

Just started watching Series 2 and it's completely different

I read that @RainbowPanda I was not surprised at all!! I could tell Amy wasn't scouted for one and Michael but it was obvious the likes of Tommy, MM and Curtis were put forward/have agents. It's why this series seems so much more scripted as if you watch season 1/2 they are literally everyday people!

I'm so glad there's still a thread! I've been following all the others but just haven't commented as I can't keep up with you all! Just seen that Curtis is being lined up for a TV role - why?!?! Don't they know no one really liked him? Happy to see that Amber was the most popular contestant all the way through, so probably would have won whoever she was with! I've also started watching series 2 due to withdrawal - they seem like actual people you would meet in real life! Much better IMO.

If the producers chose the majority then how on earth can Marvin, George etc be the pick of the bunch??
