I just meant it that he scared me but that is not a decent reason to insult him for something he can't help, obviously...OBVIOUSLY.

Have reported my post. Truly sorry for offence caused.
NO WAY is this an excuse but by way of explanation perhaps, all the characters on that programme scare me, it was directed at the character rather than the actor. And Granny Murray scares me far more than any of them.

It's irrational and I apologise for my offensive comment.

Legal age for sex 9and also marriage with aprental consent) = 16. 16, plus another 16 for your child to be legal = 32, even taking into account 18 months for pregnancies, Granny murray could indeed be a Granny, albeit one requiring possible intervention to stop the family traditions carrying on (as trhey apparently do- younger your Mum was younger you are likely to be)

i read on another thread that the original actress for the part was much older but dropped out before filming started, and when the new actress was younger, they didn't change the character name, bit daft of them really not to imo.

I would not leave my child with Granny Murray. Unless it was a child I actively disliked. Suspect she's really the witch from Hansel and Gretel and has a big range in her kitchen...

how come Granny M starts off with particular children at the beginning of the day and then ends up going off with completely different kids to the park or wherever ?

I know a 35 year old with 2 grandkids. but Granny Murray does seem older than 36 she just really grannylike or something!

I thought Granny Murray WAS Susie Sweet, and Nina of the Neurons is Miss Hoolie, surely? When they cancelled Balamory the Beeb had to give them something to do to finish out their contracts ...
