It's the girls that get to decide who to recouple with this week, so Yewande will be safe..

It depends which order the producers get each girl to step forward and pick..I'm guessing Tom will go though

carmenbea · 22/06/2019 07:59

Haven't caught up on last nights episode yet but agree with you @RainbowPanda

Apparently Amy's family are really well known in their area and her dad is a massive personality who likes to think himself as Mr Worthing. He would certainly raise a case if he thought Amy was being portrayed in a malicious way! All her friends have been defending her as well saying she is nothing like they are portraying etc.

I'm surprised Joes family didn't do the same!

😂😂😂 it was awful - especially how Danny squeaked in pain in response.

Louise0701 · 22/06/2019 08:09

Is it usually the new people get to choose first? In which case Arabella will choose Danny I think.
Lucie commented on liking Toms kiss last night wonder if that could develop into anything if they’re both vulnerable? Maura, I have no clue? She’s not into Tom.

MoominMantra · 22/06/2019 08:12

I think Maura is great - she really does have a TV personality.

HollySniffs · 22/06/2019 08:14

Does Amy have a physical disability?
I was wondering if she had some sort of condition that affected her posture, like scoliosis or sth?

She came across as extremely juvenile mimicking the boys' reaction and yes she seems to be the producers' pet but no idea why?

Afaic Arabella is playing by the rules of the game, she's upfront. I don't think she's done anything wrong.

I'm sure Amber's boobs are real. There's nothing fake looking about them. It's also a bit depressing that people forget that petite women with natural curves existed way before surgery and still bloody exist 😇.

Same reason they never showed Callum?

Callum? Was he th done that went first?

The girls are picking, but if Arabella picks first I wonder who Yewanda will pick, if Danny isnt available?

carmenbea · 22/06/2019 08:28

I thought the picking went in alphabetical order but sometimes they say newbies go first! They will want some drama. Yewande would pick anton if Danny wasn't available I think

Bellendejour · 22/06/2019 08:38

Yeah I mean she didn’t need to say any of it, but Yewande was making out that it wasn’t a sudden change and not forced and nothing to see here we’re a strong couple when she had literally been cold AF, then had a coaching session with her friends and was all over him. So she’s just saying I’m wise to this and I’m going to keep pursuing it. THAT SAID, Danny should have said it himself, it can’t have been nice hearing it from the lips of a goddess-y supermodel. But I’m still struggling to see where her anger is coming from - I don’t think Yewande is genuinely into Danny, is it just that she feels threatened and doesn’t want to lose her place in the villa? Because I really don’t understand why she’s there in the first place, it just doesn’t seem like the show/career move for her?

Also yes, the are clearly told to have these convos and it would be bloody boring if they didn’t - not sure I’d tune in for Polite and Respectful Island. I don’t think it makes Arabella a bitch, she’s just being ultra honest.

BenWillbondsPants · 22/06/2019 09:00

Agree 100% @Bellendejour. It's such a quick turnaround from Yewande giving Danny nothing to practically peeing on him to mark her territory. She knows she's vulnerable to leaving the island is she's not coupled up.

Eaudear · 22/06/2019 09:09

Apparently Amy's family are really well known in their area and her dad is a massive personality who likes to think himself as Mr Worthing.

Really? That explains a lot actually doesn't it? 👸

Eaudear · 22/06/2019 09:14

I think Yewande was so conscious of being mugged off, she didn't want to be this years Laura, that she tried to be as aloof with Danny as possible. Except instead of aloof she just came across as cold and not into him. Plus I think she is probably quite inexperienced with blokes from the looks of it and just doesn't know how to 'treat em mean keep em keen' at all, and just hoped that Danny would be dazzled enough anyway to not have his head turned.

Then when it became obvious that Danny wasn't going to stick around if she carried on with that, suddenly she is having to mark her territory and again is just making a total balls of it.

I don't think she likes Danny either - she is a scientist, he is a model, I think she needs more intelligence and interest, but doesn't want to go.

But she is acting incredibly badly and kind of oddly at the moment, almost like she is acting whilst being a terrible actress? I can't put my finger on it, it's just odd.

itswinetime · 22/06/2019 09:18

The producers could do a recoupling on Sunday but they don't have to do one every week in previous seasons they have gone longer without and personally I think it's better it gives longer for the relationships to form or break down so you actually see some surprises at time.

I can't remember if they always have everyone in couples for casa amour but I thought Adam was single last year? Wasn't it just after Zara left?

Jimjamjooney · 22/06/2019 09:20

How does Yewande display 'a simmering anger that could result in her being kicked out' (words to that effect). I saw her whisper screaming to MM but she was frustrated which I would be too. MM had a huge tantrum at Tommy and in previous series there's been other fights (Georgia calling someone a cunt for example). If we're talking confrontational, Maura was very confrontation with Elma?

Proteinshakesandtears · 22/06/2019 09:29

I cant see her being kicked out.

But it became clear last night that the others are a bit fed up of her.

Amber complained that she would go back to being very negative and she couldnt deal with it. That suggest to me, it's not just Danny she has struggled with.

I get the impression they like her but find her quite negative. So dont believe her negative side is just down to editing. I believe that she will end up going home. But not kicked out.

The main problem is that she waited until Danny had his interest parked by someone else. Then talked to him like shit. When she realised that didn't work she became so over the top with affection it's clearly fake.

All she needed to do was give him a bit of affection in the days leading up to arabella entering and I think he wouldnt be that interested in Arabella.

He wasnt asking for full on snogging, sitting on him, all over him. He kept saying he just wanted a sign that it was heading the way she said it was.

But she went from stone cold to....well Maura. Not surprised he doesnt trust it.

I do think it was bad that she went up to him, told him she liked him and then demanded he couldnt give Arabella a second look. She went from non serious relationship, just getting to know eachother, mot wanting affection to trying to force a committed relationship. All because she had decided it.

But as I said, I would have more respect for him if he had been upfront about still wanting to get to know Arabella when Yewande starred being all over him.

MoominMantra · 22/06/2019 09:31

I don't agree that Molly Mae or Maura have in any way reacted like Yewande.

The other two had tantrums but watching Yewande, I felt concerned that her behaviour could actually spill over into violence. Which has fuck all to do with her being black Hmm

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 22/06/2019 09:35

Aren’t there more girls than boys at the moment (8 vs 7) - so I don’t see how the girls could be picking unless they introduce more new people before the next decoupling.

itswinetime · 22/06/2019 09:36

Yeah there are more girls so it would be boys pick again.

OP posts:
Jimjamjooney · 22/06/2019 09:44

MoominMantra what has she done to make you think she will be violent? I didn't see all of the episode so maybe I missed something, but genuinely what makes you think this? Confused

tessiegirl · 22/06/2019 09:53

I haven't particularly liked yewande but I hope she stays at the moment. I don't like the way arabella treated her. Plain bitchiness.

I gave also noticed Amy's walking...I'm not sure if her feet turn out. She can't walk in heels either

MoominMantra · 22/06/2019 10:04

You can tell when someone might lash out.

Her level of anger is not really justifiable considering at this point there had only been one night where she hadn't put her eye mask on and ignored him. They are not in a relationship. She should not be 'raging'

Proteinshakesandtears · 22/06/2019 10:26

I do think she was over reacting last night.

I do think she was coming across aggressively. I do not think she will lash put and physically hurt someone.

I think it was down to her ego being dented again and again.

Danny picked her, she didnt trust him, he kept trying she kept pushing him away, because she believed his head would be turned. She then pushed him that far, he gave up on her and met someone else.

Now she she opened herself up, she thought as she had given what Danny was looking for, shevhad him locked down. However its painfully obvious it's not natural and very false.

Her ego has been dented by Arabella just being there and Danny talking to her. And the then to find out that she opened up to Danny, gave him what he wanted but he was still contemplating Arabella, must of hurt. Then to hear from Arabella what he said must have hurt further.

She cant comprehend that whilst she opened up to Danny, because its forced and faked it's not achieving what she thought it would.

Whisky2014 · 22/06/2019 10:28

Jimjamjooney she said she could feel herself going to unleash the crazy or words to that affect. She did this whilst saying she was fucking fuummmiiinnnggg and being all adjitated.

Also, the way she handled the conversation with arabella " is that it?" And actually STOMPING away. It was utterly pathetic.
