Why are the producers pretending they are an amazing couple

Well I think that in the same way they had Dani Dyer as an "almost" celebrity earmarked as the winner from early on in the last series, so Curtis is ear marked as this year's winner and producers have to show them in the best light possible.
In other words, it's a massive fix!
