I think the reason we're not seeing the other boys is because there's nothing to show. The only storylines they have at the moment is Lucie/Tommy/Joe and Curtis and Amy. You can't force it if no one fancies each other!

They need to bring more people to mix it up.

Absolutely I don't think the producers say keep this one loose that one but I think they put people in and chose the picking order in a way that makes the results a given!
