When they’re not talking directly to camera, I have to strain to understand what they’re saying. Articulate people! And for goodness sake, can they not string a sentence together without saying “ like” about a thousand times?! This is my first Love Island & I am watching despite myself. Thought it might be a bit more than Big Brother in the sun but it’s not really. Bit depressing 😞

areyoubeingserviced · 07/06/2019 02:20

The show has become a victim of its own success. So many forced ‘relationships ‘.
I don’t think that there is chemistry with anyone.
These lot are not very interesting. I actually fell asleep whilst watching LI last night. This has never happened before.
The show is going the same way Big Brother went. Most of these people are Social media whores, trying to make a quick buck by appearing on the show.
In previous years, people would at least pretend that they were there to find love.. However, it is obvious that this lot are in it for the fame and money
I give it a few more days, if it doesn’t get better, I will switch off

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 03:30

@areyoubeingserviced I think you're right, actually.

HollySniffs · 07/06/2019 05:11

Ok so we need to add Michael and Callum to this missing persons ad.

Last night was quite boring wasn't it? Even with the looming new unemployed girl, sorry INFLUENCER Wink.

Oh dear Lucie looks pissed
I don't think that's anything to do with any feelz she has for Tommy. More likely it was knowing the public voted for him to go on the date. If that were me I'd assume the public didn't like me, wanted to pull me down a peg or two.

Lulumush · 07/06/2019 07:32

@areyoubeingserviced

Completely agree.

Zampa · 07/06/2019 08:23

I agree with @areyoubeingserviced too. The fact that there are two "famous" people on it this year demonstrated this, in part. Still like it though!

MysweetAudrina · 07/06/2019 08:34

Do you think maybe the guys reckon Lucie is the type of girl next door that the public would like and possibly vote for. Kind of like Dani I that she is normal and not overly enhanced. Maybe they have seen that the likes of Meghan don't get the same public support.

AngeloMysterioso · 07/06/2019 08:56

Pity that the new girl they’ve sent in is pretty much a clone of Megan then...

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 09:07

@HollySniffs yeah I think you're right about Lucie

Auba14 · 07/06/2019 09:10

I'm already fed up of it being the Tommy show! His controlling, weird 'crawl to the moon' behaviour is on a level way worse than Joe and he gets away with it because he has a famous brother. Joe had the balls to actually admit he got ahead of himself and apologised.

I do think Lucie will pick first for the added tension of which boy she picks and I do think it'll be Joe. If you notice she's not spent a night in bed with Tommy since coupling up.

Amber though...she's my fave. She deserves a guy in there to make her number one, and she'll be one of the most fiercely protective, loyal housemates ever. I love her honesty and she's my early favourite for winner.

There is something really odd about Curtis, he's a people pleaser and tells everyone what they want to hear but he's firming up Tommy's backside. He loves the sound of his own voice far too much and elongates his words - spending the whole episode shit stirring to have people believe Lucie and Tommy should be together.

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 09:12

If there's a new person, they usually pick first though? We don't know what kind of guy Molly Mae goes for yet I guess.

Auba14 · 07/06/2019 09:16

I'd absolutely love it if Molly-Mae shunned them all and picked Michael (which is what I voted for). He seems like such a nice guy and needs a chance with a girl he's attracted to.

I'm still of the opinion the producers think the public are loving (but we aren't) the teenage antics of Lucie/Tommy/Joe so will build it up with The Climb by Miley Cyrus in the background when Lucie picks Joe and you hear 'There's always gonna be another mountain' when it zooms to Tommy's gutted face

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 09:17

@Auba14 😂😂😂

OverTheWeather · 07/06/2019 09:34

Amy reminds me of Helen from Big Brother 2.. No way! Wasn't Helen 'I like blinking, me'? Amy has way more about her.

BarbarAnna · 07/06/2019 09:52

That is who Amy reminds me of - BB Helen! Thank you!

I am also struggling to hear what they say - it’s very annoying!

Jiggles101 · 07/06/2019 10:04

I think Amy looks like a slightly less attractive Emma Roberts

BlackPrism · 07/06/2019 10:06

I like Amy, she immediately knew that Joe was being an arsehole and that it didn't bode well

boooey · 07/06/2019 10:06

I wish they didn’t being people in who’ve dated famous people / appeared in Essex/Geordie Shore etc.

Just get normal attractive people who have normal jobs ffs !

Lucie dated someone from last year’s show, Sherif and Anna knew each other beforehand, Molly Mae dates footballers, it’s tedious!

HollySniffs · 07/06/2019 10:12

I think it's part of the producers' strategy this time boooey, so the sudden fame isn't so life changing - mental health wise.

unique1986 · 07/06/2019 11:00

Just get normal attractive people who have normal jobs ffs !

No never happens, its just insta.
Even the extras on casa amore said they were Head Hunted/Approached via their insta.

unique1986 · 07/06/2019 11:01

The doctor last year was approached too, same as Camillia they didnt apply. She was even paid to go on.

unique1986 · 07/06/2019 11:02

The thing is they were not entertaining.

unique1986 · 07/06/2019 11:02

I feel like Amy is a part time actress.

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 11:12

Camilla was a refreshing change I thought - she was really intelligent and at least she's still in a relationship from the show....which is supposed to be what it's all about.

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 11:14

Yeah the problem with Dr Alex was he clearly didn't really want to find anyone at all. He spent his time talking to everyone else about their relationships but he was just playing at being there.
