Hail survivors of The Battle of Winterfell.

The 'mysterious' episode 4 premieres tonight.

Who will be with us at 2am?

I am desperate to find out if Arya's kill is openly discussed and acknowledged, or does Bran take the credit, or does it remain a mystery.

Given Emilia Clarke has said Episode 5 is the one for which we will need 'bigger television screens' what will lead up to it?

Is it just me thinking that it isn't actually Arya at all, but the Waif or the Many-Faced God?

We saw the Waif's face on the wall though, before Arya said her piece about being Arya Stark and going home.

So yes, I think it's just you.

The writing is terrible!
One minute Tyrion is diving in to the sea to survive and the next he's back on dry land and with full access to his wardrobe and clean new clothes and nothing is mentioned about how he managed to survive being clonked on the head by a mast.
Bronn? What was that all about and why was he acting so out of character? I think he would have betrayed Cersai, no problem, but then he'd have fought with the brothers to ensure their side of the bargain.
Ghost? Well, the dire wolves have severely suffered through the transition to the screen. They've not portrayed them as massive, so they might as well have had real dogs.

I was thinking that at this stage, on paper, Cersai should win the Game of Thrones. She's manoeuvred herself in to a far stronger position, has more of a claim than most. And, as Varys pointed out this episode, the realm don't really care who is in charge so long as they have peace. Cersai should have killed Tyrion, Dany and her forces outside the gate and prevented all the death of a war.

Joining late, apologies if I’m repeating what has been said....there are many threads that are still hanging...

  1. Dany having a baby......Jon and her had a convo in the amphitheatre when she told him she couldn’t have children, he said it may not be true.....why would they have that chat if nothing comes of it?
  2. Dario....he’s looking after troops somewhere....he’ll come back and help I’m sure.
  3. Cerci was told as a girl be a seer (ages ago) that she would be killed by someon she loves. Jamie is too obvious. I reckon Arya will take on the face of Jamie or one of her dead children.
  4. Hound v Mountain. I think M will kill Hound and as he’s dying Arya will kill the M....nicely roundingbthings off.
  5. Yara going back to the Iron Islands....providing a sanctuary for pregnant Dany perhaps? If she’s still alive that is.....
  6. We still have to see the Spanish woman who’s in prison watching her daughter rot....she’ll be back...
6. 7.Who will end up on the throne? I think JS is too obv. Arya? Or Sansa ?

Love, love ,love this season.....totally brilliant.

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/05/2019 16:22

They did tease the baby thing last season but they've left it a bit late now.

JaynePoole · 06/05/2019 16:24

And another thing! The bloody travelling! Dany just turns up at Kings Landing. That journey would have taken a whole series earlier on in the show.

Biancadelrioisback · 06/05/2019 16:25

I'm so annoyed. They made Brienne something she wasn't. She was strong without a man and without needing one. Now shes crying over him.
And I saw some outrage on twitter about the fact that they killed the only WOC in chains to further the stories of the white protagonists. I think a lot of people were quite disappointed in this episode.
I don't think we'll see Sam, Gilly, Tormund, or ghost again. I'm annoyed at Sansa for pulling a 'Little Finger' and telling Tyrion. That was unnecessary. I don't think Arya can kill Cercei. She can't have both big kills. I think Cercei will die on the throne. One way or another.
At this point, I'm beginning to doubt that she'll die in this season at all! I think she might win...

Biancadelrioisback · 06/05/2019 16:26

Dany is definitely pregnant. I'm still not convinced that Cercei is...

Yes...with the 3 daughters

BarbedBloom · 06/05/2019 16:43

Jamie is going to kill Cersei. His face changed when he heard about the dragon, he knows it will be harder to defeat her and being with brienne he has realised how awful Cersei is

Fuming about Ghost, but I think him, Nymeria and her pack will feature in the battle.

I really feel for Dany, though I had been annoyed with her this season. She is alone, lost two of her children, lost jorah, now lost Missandei. Jon has been weird with her ever since he found out and I do believe she loves him. I am pretty sure I would be wanting to burn everyone too. The scene at the feast was so sad.

I am also disappointed in Sansa. She learned to play the game so why outright provocation and hostility to Dany instead of playing nice and plotting behind her back.

I also think something big dragon wise will happen next episode. Either Drogon will get armored and Dany will use the Night Kings trick of flying high and dropping suddenly or something else will happen- in the books there are a lot of myths around Dragonstone.

Enjoyed episode 4. Worried 5 and 6 will be rushed.

Liked Jon and Sam's best mate chat. Samwell is still my fave.

AliceRR · 06/05/2019 16:53

She is alone, lost two of her children

Do you mean the two dragons? Or Viserion and a the baby and maybe the Rhaegal?

The show is a bit rubbish on details, but clearly it must have taken weeks at least for the Northeners to reach King's Landing. So Brienne was living with Jaime for a while. It was not a one-off shag.
Also in the books we know from Jaime's chapters that he no longer loves Cersei. Or even thinks about her.

I felt that Missandei's cry of Dracarys was the equivalent of Aerys's motto: Burn them all.
Cersei was right. She has Dany exactly where she wants her. Over the edge.

Euron does not care whose child is it. Once they rule he can kill the child and Cersei.

ElenadeClermont · 06/05/2019 17:06

I felt for Dany at the feast, too.

xsquared · 06/05/2019 17:08

AliceRR yes, Viseripn and Rhaegal. She refers to them as her children.

At this stage, the throne could be anyone's but I'd be disappointed if Cersei and Euron end up sitting pretty in the end.

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 17:08

I am also disappointed in Sansa. She learned to play the game so why outright provocation and hostility to Dany instead of playing nice and plotting behind her back.

That’s priceless!

I love how certain youtubers and redditers reacted to Sansa this episode. Yes, she broke her promise to Jon, right after Jon had broken his promise to Dany. It’s not as if she is the first person in Westeros to break a vow (looking at you Jon, Sam, Jaime).

I’ve seen one group saying that Sansa deliberately betrayed the location of Dany’s fleet to Euron, even though Benioff in the Inside the Episode said that Euron was just sitting there waiting ever since finding out they’d won the war for the dawn.

Don’t get me wrong, Sansa is not doing well at ‘honourable Ned’ here. However, let’s get things in perspective!

itswinetime · 06/05/2019 17:08

Not sure about Bran. . That's because he is a pointless character all that build up and waiting to him becoming the three eyed raven and why? So he kind find out who Johns parents are which Sam already did! Pointless character.

I'm not sure we will see ghost again especially next week I'm think all the cool moments the spoke about were cut from last week.

Agree everything feels rushed and definitely too much fan service. They should be true to the characters not what the public want! Jamie and brienne are the prime example of that.

Next week the battle of kings landing then there is one episode to tie off all the loose ends I don't think there is time for all the characters that left in tonight's show to come back! I think that's them done!

Sam and all those books served no purpose but proving who Jon was. All that time at the. Citedel to back bran up who no one has doubted anyway!

Tourmond was just some light relief- I'd have rather he does heroically in last weeks battle i think. A waste of a character in the end.

And ghost is used as a symbol do John sacrificing what he likes for the greater good another waste!

ElenadeClermont · 06/05/2019 17:12

Book Sam is very likely to kill a dragon. He keeps practising archery. There is still chance the show Sam takes out Drogon, but very little.

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 17:16

ElenadeClermont the whole Citadel plot is gone from the show though. No sand snake, no Satin, no glass candles, no faceless men.

Instead it’s just a glorified library with a sideline in exfoliation therapy.

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/05/2019 17:17

So Dany ends up on the iron throne then where exactly is she going to store her last dragon? I think she may end up deciding to fly away on Drogon and live out her days on an island somewhere.

Wishiwasincornwall · 06/05/2019 17:18

We need a big shocking twist like the red wedding. What if Arya is hellbent on finishing her list before anyone else gets to Cercei and kills her before she gets chance. So Arya somehow defeats the mountain takes his face to get close to Cercei, then the Hound spots "the mountain" and kills "him" before Arya can reveal its her?

Prequelle · 06/05/2019 17:20

I've ruined it for myself and read the leaks. Faaackk. I'm not going to say anything though.

ElenadeClermont · 06/05/2019 17:24

I know SweetSummerchild, but in the show Sam has motive. But unfortunately he can't shoot an arrow.

Are there new leaks? Scurries off.
