Hail survivors of The Battle of Winterfell.

The 'mysterious' episode 4 premieres tonight.

Who will be with us at 2am?

I am desperate to find out if Arya's kill is openly discussed and acknowledged, or does Bran take the credit, or does it remain a mystery.

Given Emilia Clarke has said Episode 5 is the one for which we will need 'bigger television screens' what will lead up to it?

There's no one to bring Rhaegal back and I think it's. Foreshadowing of Jon's death perhaps.

Trailers show a hooded captive amongst the Lannister soldiers. Who do you think it is? My first thoughts were Jaime.

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 11:47

I didn’t like the Jaime/Brienne story. I liked their dynamic before but they had to do the fan service thing of having sex and then reducing her to being just another woman cast aside after a few shags, crying over a bloke and pleading with him to stay with her. Brienne deserves better.

100% agree with this.

I loved the scene in ep 2 where Jaime knighted Brienne. To me that was the perfect end to their relationship. That fantastic scene is now a bit ‘ruined’ for me.

Best line of the episode “which coward shit in my pants?”

How many people spotted the coffee cup at the Winterfell feast? LOL

TheweewitchRoz · 06/05/2019 12:11

What coffee cup?

Cottonwoolmouth · 06/05/2019 12:11

I do feel a bit sorry for Dany, she really is all alone now. In fact, she is in exactly the same position now that her brother Viserys was in once she became the Khaleesi! Convinced she's the rightful monarch, but with no support or popularity, watching someone else get everything she wants with seemingly no effort!

Good spot!

No way is it the end of ghost or Tormond.

It did seem rushed and sailing off to KL like that was weird.

Not impressed with Jaime and Brianne I just didn’t think their friendship was on that level. I think he regretted it also after in bed whilst she was snoozing. I thought it was more of a mercy shag tbh.

Arya is obvs of to kill Cercei. She might just do it too.

I think Tyrion will massively betray Danny. I think convos he has been having with V is the build up to that.

I think Jon and ghost will end up in the ‘real north’

I’m thinking the seven kingdoms will be all split up and ruled by individual people but I can’t get past the thought of the final scene which will be some one sat in the iron throne. And tbh the only person I can still see sat on it in Cersei Blush. It suits her Grin

MidsomerBurgers · 06/05/2019 12:12

When will Euron realise that Tyrion couldn't possibly have known about the baby if it was supposedly his?

Also, Jaimie, you utter bastard! Poor Ser Brienne!

agirlhasnonameX · 06/05/2019 12:16

When will Euron realise that Tyrion couldn't possibly have known about the baby if it was supposedly his?
That's what I was wondering when he said it! I thought he was gonna twig right there and then.
Although news does travel fast in Westeros and when Varys is standing right there I guess it's not that unbelievable word would have reached them since.

agirlhasnonameX · 06/05/2019 12:18

Oh I totally forgot about Gilly being pregnant with little Jon too. Sweet. I hope Sam goes off for a happy ever after now, he's one of the best actors in the show I love him to bits.

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 12:19

What coffee cup?

It said “It’s leviOsa, not leviosAH” on it.

Actually, I just made that up (but it would have been the highlight of the episode for me).

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 12:21

Some time after the inhabitants of Winterfell work out that there must be something funny about Jon’s parentage if only Targs can ride dragons.

People in Westeros are a bit slow on the uptake.

Is it ever actually said in the series that only Targaryens can fly dragons?

Hahahaha love the coffee cup 😂😂😂

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 12:36

Is it ever actually said in the series that only Targaryens can fly dragons?

I think it is, but I can’t remember when.

Ruru8thestars · 06/05/2019 12:46

Interesting!

agirlhasnonameX · 06/05/2019 12:50

I can't remember them ever saying it could only be a Targaryen, which wouldn't be true anyway because the Targaryens weren't the only dragonlords, just happen to be the only ones left.

A lot of non Targaryens get on Drogon beyond the wall, although guess they aren't actually riding him. But guessing by the way Dani is so casual about Jon first riding Rhegal, even she hasn't heard it should only be Targaryens that can.

SweetSummerchild · 06/05/2019 12:59

agirlhasnonameX I think you’re probably right that it was never really established in the show how dragonriding works.

I think that Is the last we will see of Tormund, Sam,Ghost.

They have their own paths now to follow that's away from the iron throne there's no need for them to reappear

Jon has entrusted ghost to Tormund because he can see he's safer with him again I think that's it

DeadWife · 06/05/2019 14:17

Just thinking, when Tormund was bigging up Jon to the men he said 'what kind of person climbs on a fucking dragon? A madman or a king!' While Dany was looking thoughtful - could very well be a presage to a mad queen situation.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 06/05/2019 14:20

A few niggles but overall I thought it was great.

I'd seen spoilers about Rhaegal but was stunned it happened so quickly, and the attack on the fleet. I too thought the Unsullied couldn't swim (unless they're wearing armour? Grin

Jamie and Brienne warmed, then broke, my heart. He was always a much better person around her. I am now 100% he will kill Cersei (who rudely hasn't even said "thanks for defeating the dead".) I hope that first he tells Euron the baby is his, if there is one (I've wondered all along if she actually has cancer or something and they've mistaken the symptoms). I hope Euron suffers a nasty death.

I've been off Dany for quite a while but totally understood how she felt at the feast - "wow Jon is so great he rides a dragon!") as she sits there thinking wtf have I done for years, and without me you'd all be dead.
I think Tyrion will side with Dany, maybe tell her what Varys is planning because he doesn't want to see her die.

I still love Jon but he shouldn't have Arya and Sansa the truth. I confess I've never liked Sansa from day one so it probably colours my thinking and I think she just sees this as being to her advantage - if Jon was King she would automatically get Warden of the North. Arya says "we're family" but then leaves them to go after Cersei and says she won't return to Winterfell anyway. After having told Gendry he was just a ONS.

Jon has treated Ghost a bit shabbily but he's in no fit state to fight and I think they'll reunite in the end.

Poor, brave Missandei, but we knew she and Greyworm weren't going to have a happy ending.

AliceRR · 06/05/2019 14:20

I was disappointed with this episode 🙄

I like that John did tell Sansa and Arya the truth... Jamie and Brienne sleeping together is weird.... Wasn’t sure what he was saying as he left Brienne but I judged it by her reaction. I don’t think the dragon is dead. Dany is going and becoming less and less likeable.

OK might put it on again now

When does Thronecast come on - Is it tonight?

Myusernameismud · 06/05/2019 14:21

I can't help feeling that Jaime has actually gone off with the intention of killing Cersei. When he gave his little speech to Brienne about all the awful things he's done for her, there was something about his face.

Also haven't RTFT but have we talked about Varys and how, ironically, it appears he has more balls than basically everyone else (with the exception of Stark girls)

Oh and poor Gendry! Watching his little heart break like that.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 06/05/2019 14:21

Dany is going and becoming less and less likeable.

Funnily enough, I liked her more in this episode than I have for a long time.

Myusernameismud · 06/05/2019 14:25

She's definitely on the cusp of madness, right?

PhysaliaPhysalis · 06/05/2019 14:26

Qyburn knew Cersei was pregnant and had the 1:1 chat with Tyrion before Tyrion went forward to speak to Cersei, so I think Euron would assume Qyburn told Tyrion.
