Hail survivors of The Battle of Winterfell.

The 'mysterious' episode 4 premieres tonight.

Who will be with us at 2am?

I am desperate to find out if Arya's kill is openly discussed and acknowledged, or does Bran take the credit, or does it remain a mystery.

Given Emilia Clarke has said Episode 5 is the one for which we will need 'bigger television screens' what will lead up to it?

My problem is Euron looks just like Matt Willis off of Busted, and so every time he's on screen my suspension of disbelief is sunk. I wish he'd get a sign of something to stop looking so incongruously young.

WinterfellsStarbucksConcession · 06/05/2019 22:00

I agree that The scene with Bronn was bizarre and completely out of character, plus after nearly breaking Tyrion's nose and threatening Jamie with a cross bow surely they'd just have him hunted down and killed rather than following through on gifting him High Garden.

I hope they don’t continue with things happening off scene again next week. It’s really lazy writing

cottonwoolmouth absolutely agree! I wanted to see Sansa and Arya's reactions to Jon's parentage and Tyrion's. When they cut away for a second time it was just annoying.

Notrusthere · 06/05/2019 22:23

Something I'm.still totally confused about....ghost!

Last episode he rode off with the Dothraki to fight the dead, we didn't see him again. (Did we?!) And then this episode he's just back...and then gone again

WTF?!! Where was ghost between the Dothraki charge and the beginning of episode 4?

In summary of say....

Bronn's return- weird! I loved him hope he turns nice again

Missandre- very sad but she was bound to leg it sooner or later. Dracarys was a sign to Dany to burn them all

Grey worm- dead next episode

Torumund - that had best not be the last we see of him

I liked the hound and Sansa scene, I've been waiting for that since kings landing rebellion

Dragon- so sad 😢😢

Gendry - well...who really gives a shit anyway

Jamie - I think he's going to try and kill cersi, agree he's just trying to stop Brienne following him.

Brienne - time to man up sweetheart, he's gone. Kick some was again

Notrusthere · 06/05/2019 22:25

I started drinking early 😉😉

Loving these typos Grin

Definitely think Sansa will come south bringing Brienne with her. Jaime will kill Cersei but be mortally wounded and dying in Brienne's arms. Brienne will be pregnant.

Notrusthere · 06/05/2019 22:39

Ooo...Brienne pregnant is one I hadn't thought of.

But really is there time for anyone else to be pregnant? It's not like they had first response (other pregnancy tests are available) is there time for them to find out now?

Mrscog · 06/05/2019 22:49

@strawberrypancakes it’s well established in the books that when warring factions meet to negotiate/set terms (parlay) its a ceasefire situation. That said if anyone would break ancient traditions it would be Cersei !

Ontheboardwalk · 06/05/2019 22:50

Ghost looked battered with half an ear

Jon could have at least cleaned him up and sorted his wounds. Who else would be doing it

Bad Jon

JasperRising · 06/05/2019 22:55

Strawberrypancakes I turn for Terry Pratchett for this one and the bit in one of his books about how a bad man will always talk before killing you whilst a good man will kill you without a word so you should pray you don't face a good man. It works well for most TV shows and films where you are wondering why they don't just kill the other person straight up...

(Or as Mrscog says it's a temporary truce situation)

nannyplummyarse · 06/05/2019 22:59

Is it just me or is anyone else just finding this whole season quite poor?

I don't know if it's because of the massive build up to it and I've expected too much, but I just feel like nothings blown me away.
The first 3 episodes were just slow and boring. Then it was the fight against the night king and I thought "ohh it's gonna be good" and even that was a let down. I expected so much more from that battle. Today's episode was ok but nothing exciting or suspenseful at all. No one of importance has died (not that I want that To happen, but I want to throw something at the tv and get mad at them killing off one of my faves)

It's the last ever season so why not go out with a bang.

LaurieMarlow · 06/05/2019 23:00

I enjoyed that a lot more than last week. Things are hotting up.

Jaime better be off to kill Cersei though, otherwise I’ll never forgive this show. Looks like Arya’s off to kill Cersei too. Interesting.

Im intrigued by where Varys mind is at. Would he really take Dany out? She’s obviously going full fire and blood now and will make some terrible decisions.

Looks like I’m on my own, but I massively dig Jaime and Brienne. I also loved Sansa and the Hound.

And Tormund made me laugh. ‘Vomiting isn’t celebrating’, ‘yes it is’ Grin

LaurieMarlow · 06/05/2019 23:03

I thought for a second that Cersei was going to take out Tyrion. Then I remembered all the plot armour Tyrion has.

But that would have been interesting.

thenightsky · 06/05/2019 23:06

Ghost looked battered with half an ear

Jon would have his arse handed to him on a mumsnet doghouse thread!

motheroftinydragons · 06/05/2019 23:07

I actually enjoyed that episode. Agree that Sansa has no reason to dislike Dany so heartily, it seems daft.

Next weeks the big one apparently! Though the trailer gives little away.

HedgehogStew · 06/05/2019 23:14

I don't think the white walker / night king plot is done with yet. I can't believe that after 8 seasons of building up to 'the night is dark and full of terror' it was all over in one battle / episode. Last time the Night king attacked they didn't or couldn't kill him, they drove him as far North as possible and then built a dirt great big wall to keep him out of the 7 Kingdoms. So I'm a bit Hmm that he was off'd so easily. I think this last episode was a bit of a distraction to lull us in to a false sense of security. I think either Sam will read something that lets us know that the Night King isn't really dead (such as if they are stabbed by Valerian steel they just respawn North of the wall) or they will attack Winterfell again killing almost everyone left behind. Then They all hole up in Kings landing where he is finally defeated.

sweetkitty · 06/05/2019 23:16

What I don’t get is Arya is this shit hot assassin with magic face changing powers who is going to Kings Landing anyway, why doesn’t Dany just wait, Arya can sneak in disguised as a solder or something and stab Cersei, job done???

So let down we didn’t get to see Arya and Sansa’s reaction, especially as Sansa used to look down on him as the bastard son.

Ontheboardwalk · 06/05/2019 23:18

thenightsky I agree. ‘I sent my pet out to fight the dead whilst I fucked about with dragons’

Ghost has come back now injured with an ear missing. Should I take him to the vet? I think he’ll be ok. Could do with not splashing cash at the moment got a war to pay for

Fuck you Jon Snow
