I missed the show last week as I was at the GN. Recorded it. Thought the GB was OK but not all the raving...

Primary school kids did not make me smile. A testimony to the teacher's ego. IT was Nativity crossed with the sainsburys ad really.

I gave up after that before my brains poured out of my ears.

It was an odd choice to put the kids and the dogs in the same show no one else stood a chance and then tomorrow nights show hardly anyone I even remember

Finn got all my votes but only because him and Dave are awesome at what they do/did before he retired. His actual act tonight wasn't all that impressive. The dog is an absolute legend though and the work Dave has done for service animals makes them worthy winners in my eyes.

Piggywaspushed I’ve read somewhere if flakefleet wins, the money is being spent on the children. The area is quite deprived and there was talk of the money being used to take the children on holiday. I think the school is very inspirational. All the children have been asked about their hopes and dreams and have all been experiencing real life experiences. 2 children wanted to be carers so had spent time in their nearby nursing home. 1 child wanted to be an ice cream van worker so they had arranged for an ice cream van to come in so the child could serve ice creams. The headteacher appears to be very committed to ensuring the children get the best opportunities in life. He was previously a head teacher in our area. I’ve never heard a bad word about him. He appears to be a genuinely caring guy.

Really don't get the love for the kids act don't know how they got the golden buzzer and then sent through, except for the sentimentality, but then although it had its flaws i liked the haunting. I don't think any of the acts were great tonight, think it's looking like a very week year for the live shows so far.

The haunting really disappointed me this week. When 'Agatha' was leading Amanda back to the stage, as they were going up the stairs the woman, I think Elizabeth is her name was clearly seen hiding behind the wall waiting to come out.
Yes, I know she would have had to do that to perform but the illusion was ruined as she was clearly seen.

I thought the dog act wS similar to one last year, when a baby in a video had the magic word. (Have I remembered that correctly).

Was really disappointed in the Haunting, there was no magic this time? And could definitely see her waiting to swap as they were going back up the stairs to do basically the same trick as last time. And also she said something like Simon the night isn't over for you yet, which made me think she had something else in store.

I love the school kids.

Yes, they're not pitch perfect, but that's what makes them great. It's not a school that only allows the best singers to perform, they all get a go if they want to.
The Head is amazing, he genuinely cares for the children. He's letting them be children, not little SATs robots. They're from a deprived area and he's showing them anything is possible in life.
I hope they win the whole thing.

Ive no doubt the headteacher at flakefleet is inspirational, enthusiastic and caring, and wants better prospects for the children at his school, but does that mean that the kids are particularly talented? .....sorry, no.
(Although thay doesnt mean I dont think they deserve better things)
The show is essentially meant to be a talent show but the amount of people they've voted through this year for being passionate/happy/enthusiastic/ having a good sob story is ridiculous .My DS is quite enthusiastic about, and enjoys playing football. Is he especially talented at it? Not really. Its not the same thing!!

The Haunting was a bit scary but it was basically the same trick but not as good. She needs to do something else if they bring her back as the wildcard.

I got the feeling the school teacher was an actor - seemed so fake and polished, and yes they must have watched the Sainsburys advert and thought "that's a great idea." The Haunting was truly terrible but welcome change to dancers and cringeworthy comedian.

He's really not an actor, I know someone who worked there.

Why would you think the head is an actor?

Cute dog yes, but talented? (well obv talented at police dogging, but as a magic act?)...... The only sleight of hand required to randomly choose the letters he cocked up. Rubbish.
