to be fair to the tts, they did teach dd1 to run up to me and hug me shouting big hugs which i really loved.

I also loved the one where the cloud got into the teletubby house, and the narrator said 'the teletubbies found it most inconvenient having a cloud in teh house'

i have a video of her. she says she's going to be funny lady, makes the children drink pretend tea from huge cups and invisible biscuits. wore an odd tartan pinafore, dodgy red lippy and gets right on my tits

I also liked the man whe sang Tweet tweet little birdy and I was also rather fond of the scandinavian Christmas Tip tap song.

actually my ds was scared of the pink fluffy cloud (when it went into the house) and the cloud that rained flowers onto all the teletubbies too.

do you think they actually meant to be a bit scary, i waited years to see the man singing at windows (had to have my own ds first)and when i did i thought actually yeh that is spooky and unsettling. i know there has been night garden threads before but i really find iggle piggle in the boat bit unsettling, yet cant take my eyes of it, is this the programme makers intentions, is this why my ds is hypnotised by all rag doll productions ?

There were some unconscious rabbits lying next to the teletubbies as they were dancing once. I saw it on 'Points of View!'They'd passed out 'cos of the heat of the lights in the studio. Someone wrote in and complained 'cos they thought the rabbits were dead!

Do any of you remember the furore over Teletubbies and the charge levelled at them: that they were dumbing down children's telly?

God, it was all radical and new and exciting and now my boy is nealry TEN, , I AM OLD!

I typed actual letters (as this was before lovely convenient email) saying just that - because it went into the Playbus slot (and Playbus went nowhere, as this was also pre multi-channel-digital-TV) and DS2 and I used to watch that and learn things so we missed it. (It seems very pedestrian now )

I didn't grasp that it was aimed at babies because who would, then?

(Just looked it up on imdb, the first showing was March 97 so it is over 10 years.)
