Just watched the final episode.
Thanks to the pp who said Rose handed Adam the cat collar. That makes sense. I thought it was a key ring or something.
It was ok but none of the characters were very likeable so it was hard to get invested in them.

A little late to the thread, but having just got round to watching the final episode ... an easy watch, but ridiculous plot really! So I’m assuming Rose got Ben to steal the ring from the locker in the changing room.... totally unbelievable that he would jeopardise his job just to respond to the whims of a needy, unpleasant student. And the implication that he might be prepared to commit murder at the end - oh please!

I also thought the finding of the engagement ring locked up in Rose’s room was swept under the carpet too readily. The police would have known by then that at the very least she lied, was probably a thief and there was also the circumstantial evidence of the phone message she left not being kept, the different jacket to the one she handed to police....

Quite nearly rounded off with the father, after being the cause of the whole business, being the one who saves Leah and traps Rose by recording her confession. I guess this was why in the end, Leah agreed to see him with her son.

The only real surprise for me was the pregnancy though... I really thought she was faking that

neatly rounded off

I'm watching it for the pure fantasy of a university where you don't have 65 forms to fill in in triplicate for an accusation of plagiarism.
I once met someone who wrote "sample essays" for an essay mill. She was a postgrad student herself too.

I really enjoyed it. Lots of it wasn't believable but i enjoyed it anyway.

There were some good bits of acting. Agree with papergirl though that none of the characters were likeable which perhaps missed a trick because I found it very difficult to care what the outcome was.

Watching episode 4, and the colleague of Leah's has an awful office, you couldn't console an upset student or change for yoga in that fishbowl.

Cosmoplease · 29/03/2019 12:30

Oh I was really disappointed in this series.

I actually enjoyed the first episode more than I thought I would, but I think it got quite boring and predictable after that.

Katherine Kelly's accent changed from posh Cambridge to northerner, from sentence to sentence. Sorry if that's already been said a thousand times already, but haven't read the whole thread.

It could have been brilliant. It was average, at best.

I'm very late to the party, recorded this ages ago and have only just got round to watching it. I think my overall impression is what a waste of time. Feel sorry for Rose as she's been let down by everyone, and basically the two men's inability to be faithful caused the whole thing. If they'd been faithful none of this would have happened.

Just found this on catch up tv and watched because there didn't seem anything else.

Was confused as some the actresses are also in Traces only just realeased on Alibi.

Anyhow, sort of went along with it, but thought that people must have had doubts about Rose as a person long before she became as dangerous as she was.

And as the last poster before me said, it was a bit woman hating to make out she was just evil, when she had been let down and betrayed by men she had put trust in. One of whome had caused her mother's suicide.

But what was unbelievable is that someone, ie the College Porter (I think that's what they are called) would have been so infatuated with someone that they would not only bend the rules at work, but actually conspire in a murder.

The message seem to be that the only women who survive are the ones who forgive the men who have let them down. Sad
