Race Across The World - really enjoyed it!

Did anyone else watch this tonight? I thought it was great! The contestants are warm, genuine and with normal ego levels. There's no pouting, posing, naked bodies.... just ordinary people racing to Singapore with little money and no internet. I'm loving the glimpses of people helping them along the way.

We love this programme. Really hope Alex and his Dad win

i have couple of logistical questions about this show.
How do they sort visas and things out if they only know what country they’ll be going a few days in advance. I know there’s been a few currency issues but what about commission and things?

Also how do the production/ camera crew work it if they have to follow them constantly. Ie tickets visas currency. Do they all have a bbc credit card or something

I finally caught up on Sundays episode this morning, they’re all doing so well. I might miss Felix when it’s all over.

I'm really enjoying this to and want Alex and Darron to win. Alex has grown so much already since the start he's like a different person.

So a couple of assistant producers did the trip before filming started, for research purposes, that must have been fun! They made sure it was possible and worked out all the possible routes. So I think they got visas sorted for all possible routes for the contestants before filming started. They probably sussed out the job opportunities too.

Each pair of contestants has a camera operator and director allocated to them but they travel without the budget restrictions and they probably catch a few flights along the way if their contestants are travelling in a way they can't or don't want to copy!

They must have won otherwise why were they on TV. Couldnt BBC wait till the show finished. Alex has an awful voice learn to project your words he would never be on stage!

Just watching ep. 5 having only previously seen ep. 4 so far. Do they meet up at the checkpoints? Are they supposed to work their way along?

I feel a little befuddled tonight. The clocks have changed and this is on an hour early.

Luz - yes, they have to get to certain checkpoints.

Do the couples compare notes with each other if they coincide?
